It takes awhile for them to learn how to swallow real food so spitting a little out doesn’t mean they don’t like it. He’s learning & for his first time, he did GREAT!

I recommend steering clear of the sweeter veggies for a while. It gets them used to that sweet flavor and then a lot of times don't enjoy the blander veggies. Green beans, broccoli, spinach, squash even. But sweet potatoes, carrots and sometimes peas can even lean to the sweeter side.

He’s such a big boy! Babies grow up too fast! I started my daughter with sweet potato too! It was her favorite for a while! I make her butternut squash the same way, just cut in half and de-seed, then roast. I sprinkled with cinnamon and it smells just like pumpkin pie! It’s her new favorite and it makes my house smell like fall! 🍁🧡

I would say u should feed him the pures and let him explore with the soft foods for baby led weaning .He will be more full if u feed the pure food.He seem to have fun for his first time he did good

This is all new to me. My child started out with baby cereal and mashed potatoes, but she was closer to a year maybe 7 to 9 months. I'm not sure if this was because she was 6 weeks early I just listened to the doc and WIC people. I know she loved the peanutbutter and yogurt mix, anyway is he old enough for a pure aid banana? There's also a cookie for baby's, it just dissolves when wet, also great for when they're teething, just wish I could remember the name of it, and if cc grabs it , it won't hurt her .. ok I'm done lol, I'm just an oldie!

Maybe you can put Jaxton in his chair and give him a couple of toys while you have dinner yourself. Just an idea though 🙂

Puree some oatmeal or rice for a thicker stick to your bones kind of food right before bed and I bet you will soon have some full nights of sleep. Most babies do much better at night once they start eating some real food.
