This song reminds me a lot of Pantheon's theme, definitely the song of a warrior. But I love the differences. Rather than sounding like a war cry like Pantheon's song, Jax's sounds like a battle chant. And the choir in the background vs the one singer for Pantheon makes sense too. Pantheon is fighting alone, a single man against the gods. Jax, however, is fighting with all of Icathia on his side. They are the ones singing, urging Jax to continue his fight. It's almost beautiful, in a way

AKA Bel Veth and the void. He is one of the MOST prominent hero figures in the lore of Runeterra, I don't know what you're on about.

I like how in Pantheon's theme is just one dude singing, because is just one man against everyone. But in jax theme you have a choir singing in the background, because he's not alone and will never be alone, because all icathia fights shoulder to shoulder with Jax, even if they are not there. Truly amazing!!!

I did NOT expect it to be this good! Added to my Warrior Playlist along with Pantheon, Volibear, and K'Sante The choirs made this for me

Not only did they honor the kid who inspired Jaximus via making him a core part of all of Jax's lore, the CHOIRS OF THE SONG MAKE IT FEEL LIKE the kid and his friends is cheering him on from the afterlife😢 My spirit is crying tears of joy.....

Not just a simple battle theme, but a more ancient and mystical vibe to the song. Very fitting.

Jax's theme just truly shows what a battle hardened hero he is. The significance of his role in runterra can really be felt in his theme

I hope our only other Icathian champ can get a glow up like this soon, too. Zilean absolutely deserves it. Speaking of Icathia, I love how even though Jax is a rather solitary fighter, a chanting choir is heavily featured in his theme. He (and Zil, but hes kinda removed from time or whatever) carries the entire legacy, memories and voices of Icathia. Very beautiful

And so, one of the oldest most iconic champions in the game finally got *_a much deserved-much anticipated visual updated_* and *_AN ABSOLUTE BANGER OF A CHAMPION THEME!!!_*

The use of children for the choir gives the theme a sort of community like feeling, as if all of Icathia is cheering Jax on beyond the grave.

More than 10 yeas ago I had the opportunity to hear many records from composers for short film projects and youtube video. Then, one day, I heard some musics from one man and just said to myself and my friends "Wow, this guy's work is above the others, surely he will work for big productions !". There was something different, like the feel you can have with some zimmerian, williamsian or bergersian musics. Today I am so proud of your journey, the victories you have made and the recognition you've always deserved, Jean-Gabriel Raynaud ! Many congratulations to your fellow Cédric, who is as talented as you ;) .

​@@captainxemo3804I feel like his story rework was in the works long before LoR. Old theories thinking he was a darkin all changed with the Aatrox rework and the origin story of the Darkin. Icathia has been a growing focal point for the lore and any champion associated with it has been in development for some time.

Didn't think Jax was ever gonna get his own theme. This is cool

Until today I felt like I was hopeless, I felt like I hold no control or power to control my life or my future, but from now on, thanks to this masterpiece I think it hit me in the right spot and feel more powerful and more motivated to improve my life and be a figure that inspires the people around me, more than ever, like this piece was the gear missing from my life. Thank you, Riot, for releasing this song! I think now I am ready begin my real journey through life. Thank you for helping me and others to grow through the music you release, like many other artists. The single violin symbolizes Jax, alone and wandering Runeterra with only a lamp staff for company. Then the choir kicks in, almost spectral, almost feminine, like the ghosts of Icathia (Icathian Mirage from LoR) backing his cause. Towards the end, the music reaches its peak, and the choir is accompanied by other instruments playing similar melodies. Jax is no longer alone. Unlikely allies (Breshi, Chaska, Pesh, Trisk, and Fireth, all from LoR) have joined him from around the world, similarly skilled and crafty individuals he befriended on his travels... and now they unite against the Void.

ACTİVE: Jax enters Evasion, a defensive stance, for up to 2 seconds, causing all basic attacks against him to miss. Jax also takes 25% reduced damage from all area of effect abilities. After 1 second, Jax can reactivate to end it immediately.

As always, the visual and music departments at riot are going nuclear, this is SO COOL!

I hope we get more ASUs, it’s so cool seeing old champions updated to the modern standard.

The music is awesome and all, but I love the way how they took us behind the scenes when they worked on this. Seeing the different phases the splash art went through and especially the technical look at making Jax's animations. I love it.

I like how the tone of the strings get very ominous at the end. It sounds like the triumphant Jax theme is what we hear while he is recruiting allies to fight the void with, fighting them to test their strength, with that ending sounding like they are approaching the horrific, murderous landscape of the void.

all of these comments are making me cry so much, being in a very bad state mentally because of school and a lot of travel i fell into great sadness. this song from the moment i heard it inspired me to be greater then i ever was before. its the small changes that a human makes that turn out to be the life force that drives people to do grand things in their life. its sad that people dont have a natural sense to feel this without the songs and the inspirational life coaching and therapy, but im happy this exists. i feel the strength of spirit this man holds it is nothing less of heroic

The theme is composed from the tears of every Skarner main.

ACTIVE: Jax enters Evasion, a defensive stance, for 2 seconds, causing all non-turret basic attacks against him to be dodged. Jax also takes 25% reduced damage from all champion area of effect abilities. Counter Strike can be recast after 1 second. At the end of the duration, Jax stuns all nearby enemies for 1 second and deals physical damage to them, increased by 20% for each attack dodged, up to a 100% increase.

Having started playing League in 2011 and Jax being one of the champions I played the most back then (3v3 Twisted Treeline, would build him with Warmog and Atma and it would make me feel so smart lol), you have no idea how much joy it brings me to see him finally getting the love he deserves.

Music is supreme as always! I am so glad that with ASUs champions without a them finally get one after years!
