As someone who has seen all movies of Atlee as well as most of the famous Tamil movies of all time, it seems Atlee has mixed bits & pieces of emotional and cop stories from his own movies like Theri, Mersal, Bigil while taking vigilante looks from Shankar's Anniyan. He does well in screenplay and grandeur, so expecting Jawan to be much better as this is his most high-budget movie overall

Finally you said it. I always thought that KGF doesn't feel like a movie it feels like a long trailer. So heavily edited that it gives me a headache watching it. Most Telegu Tamil action films are like that but KGF took it to another level. It was a massive hit but I couldn't watch it for more than an hour. Looking for a genuinely combat style action movie from India like John Wick but John Wick 4 also took it to some absurd level in few scenes. I want a grounded action movie that feels real.
