Yes... Majrooh sultanpuri was jailed for two years. Lots of media reports.. I haven't seen this video... Nor have I read about the issue in detail, but yes, it's true... Moreover, lallantop work is decent.. they won't become a party to fake news peddling, at least... To be honest, I was also surprised that this has happened... Will check the details soon...

Majrooh went to jail for his Communist activity, along with several others, not for writing against Nehru.

@@gayatriugra4380 What exactly is communist activity? Being communist isn't illegal in India. Of course, Majrooh was left-leaning, but it was after he wrote a poem comparing nehru with Hitler that he got jailed. Lots of news articles are there.

Though technically nehru didn't jail Majrooh but he still could've influenced his release... So if kafeel khan is jailed today, we hold Modi responsible for that... Don't we?... Technically, pm can't be responsible for any arrest...

The Urdu pronunciation needs correction. It is jarring to the ear. Ghalib was pronounced as Galib !!
