1:27 The fish looks lovely. We also rinse out the insides of the fish and rub it out with a piece of lemon as well as squeezing lemon juice on the skin like you did, as this definately takes away the fishy smell. Lemon is also used for rubbing out chicken insides where the guts were. My Mum used to sometimes cut the heads off and trim the tail and fins off which are not eaten and also take the gills out, also not eaten. The scales are usually removed before cooking and disgarded.

Linet! with the coconut you cut the pieces smaller so the blender can chop the pieces easer; anything you plan to blend in the blender cut the pieces small enough so the blender motor doesn't stall so it will last longer; your foods and the way you prepare them is similar to that of Jamaicans.

Yeah, fantastic idea about building an outdoor kitchen which could be waist height and no bending to load up the fire with sticks and wood which would save all the bending you'all do when attending to your food.

When you go to Kagio, look for firewood lighters. They are small pieces of timber, quite cheap which lit the charcoal very easily and fast. You can also use a grater to grate the ginger

Love this episode, I am curious that if you have a farm, how much do you have to spend on food in general. Today you got most of your food from your farm but bought fish. Can you be self sustaining with occasional times where you have to buy meat and maybe some other items.
