Every time Islam has a fight I always feel nervous and pray that he will win the fight. I admire & love them as a fighter Islam Makhachev, Umar Nurmagomedov & Usman Nurmagomedov.

I second that. As much as I love Charles, I'd rather see Islam go against someone new.. maybe Gaethje or even Tsarukyan

_Islam had 10 winstreaks before title fight. Charles had 8 ws, Dustin had 6 ws, Justin had 4 ws and chandler had just once. Arman has 3 ws.... Islam had it harder than everybody else._

Khabib's faults in some way. Why would UFC feed Islam with contenders if he would never fight his friend Khabib who was champ at the time and even then Islam's got a title shot off beating Green and before that a short notice Dan Hooker

​@@crazypato3752bullshit, he was on a 6 fight win streak when Khabib retired but had to get 4 more wins after that and even still fans were criticizing that he didn't deserve his title shot lol. UFC tried rebooking Islam vs Dariush in the summer of 2022 but Dariush still hadn't recovered, otherwise he would have needed an 11 fight win streak before his title shot.

@crazypato3752 the stat being discussed is UFC win streak, of which Illia is on a 6 fight steak. Either way he deserves his title shot but it doesn't compare to needing a 10 or more UFC win streak.

It was expected. Arman can defeat Charles too but first make Arman vs Charles and Islam vs Gaethji, then winner of both for the belt.

As a big UFC fan, my dream fight is Covington versus Islam. I always wanted to see Khabib go against a elite grappler. Now we can see that with islam and colby. Colby just needs to do his job next weekend. Then the UFC can set up a massive title fight between him and Islam. I’m not giving a prediction. I’m just telling you that’s my dream fight. Even in islam said he wants that so bad. He knows it would be massive.

Colby is not a grappler he is a wrestler, a very good one but he could not even submit a dire exhausted Masvidal, Islam would submit Masvidal given the same circumstances, Islam has fought Wade, Ramos, Tsarukyan, Charles, they are much better grapplers than Colby, his chance vs Leon is 50-50, against Islam? all he has is wrestling on par, stand up and grappling and submission game goes to Islam, 40-60

Dos Anjos is a 3rd degree black belt, and Khabib ran right through him. Dos Anjos took Covington down twice...He couldn't even get in the clinch with Khabib... Enough said...

That would be epic, Colby truly putting his whole brash American jingoism on the line! I think Islam is better but smaller, so their wrestling games will nullify each other, and they’d just have a kickboxing match which Islam would win over 5 controlled rounds. I also think Leon dominates Colby anyway, so don’t reckon we’ll get to see it.

@@DanAddison that’s fine my friend we all have our opinions. Personally, I see Covington winning against Leon because stylistically. It’s a hard matchup for Leon. I think it will be similar to merab vs Yan Bryce Mitchell versus Barbosa. Leon is similar to Yan and Barbosa. We saw what happened there. I’m not going to predict what will happen with Islam in Covington but damn I just hope it happens. I have always wanted to see Khabib challenge himself against a elite grappler, but he never did. He always striker so his fights were so easy. So I love that Islam wants to go to 170 pounds where there are very good grapplers. Even Islam said he wants to Covington fight because he knows that will be his hardest challenge. I would say usman, but I just think his knees are so bad now he is not in his prime anymore. Third fight against Leon showed it. He did not even uses wrestling at all. When Leon goes against a pressure fighter, he does not look good. Brian Barberena dropped Leon. Arguably beat him. Brian used pressure.

WHY isnt khamza getting a title fight?? looks like ufc is holding some fighter back from title fights and some [calby] every fight is a title fight even though they keep losing - they got to win eventually. UFC be fair.

If Russian's and Dagastani's are such great mma fighter's how come they only have 3 belts in total in the UFC. Yan,Khabib,Islam mean while American's hold 79 belts.
