Muy apichonado Maciel en esta pelea...deberia seguir en mediano junior y trabajar el tema cabeza para sacarse el miedo escenico, si va a buscar un titulo del mundo.

Just as well that this wasn’t shown on HBO, can’t imagine it would’ve done Pirog any favours.

@dan32113 Styles make fights but there are a ton of other factors involved. Fatigue, rapid weight loss, ring size, crowd size (and attitude) even camera flashes make a difference. Rhodes did the best he could to not get hurt by Alvarez - It's better to fight another day. Rhodes should ask Grady Brewer to come to the UK for a bang-up fight. Did you see what that guy did to 21-0 Fernando Guerrero? Grady would be a big sensation in London. Hatton has a title shot on the horizon yea?

Pelea fácil para Pirog. Boxeando es superior a cualquiera en los medianos, si no le salís a presionar la pelea hace lo que quiere. Maciel tiene la mano pesada, pero le quedó muy grande el escenario peleando para atrás, una lástima.

Por aquellos años Pirog estaba retando a Maravilla Martínez para una pelea de unificación ¿Qué opinas de esa pelea?

@@saidramirez8718 Bueno, si te referis al momento en que ocurrió esta pelea, principios del 2011, maravilla venía de realizar uno de los mejores KO de los últimos tiempos contra Paul Williams. Estaba prácticamente en su mejor momento en cuanto experiencia y condición física. Y Pirog venía de noquear a un joven e pero invicto y talentoso Jacobs. Hubiese sido una pelea de ensueño realmente. Sonará como una opinión partidaria porque yo también soy argentino, pero maravilla en su mejor momento era un peleador muy completo, zurdo con pegada y además boxeador. Mejores factores para boxear no se puede tener.

@trainlinezoo Also Barkers main British rival Mathew Macklin is fighting WBA champ Felix Sturm in Germany on June 25th. I don"t know what will happen because Ryan Rhodes didn"t do well against Alavrez last weekend, but Ricky Hattons brother Mathew who isn"t as good as Rhodes put on a better show! I suppose it really is all old adage styles make fights..

@dan32113 Yeah I'm aware of that fight - I really think Barker is biting off too much though. He should have went through Pirog to get to Martinez. It might be close though - there have been many upsets this year.

i reckon pirog would be barker aswell to be honest.

Excellent fight for both guys - Pirog should fight Darren Barker next and then the winner of that match goes on to fight Sergio Martinez. Javier Francisco Maciel should go on to fight James Kirkland so we can get the rebound winner back up to the top tier challenges.

Se lo veía nervioso pero al final del round 3 conecto buenas manos si ubieran metido intencidad al ataque podría haberlo noqueado tiene pegada dura
