Miandad was my father's favourite batsman in his young days and Afridi was mine favourite player.. in my childhood he used to tell me about that last ball six of Miandad vs India and then after some days Afridi replayed the whole scenario ❤️ if Tasueef and Junaid wouldn't taken those two singles we would probably not witness these two memorable moments

Miandad's epic innings and last ball six was a real Desert Storm which haunted the Indian team for the next 2 decades at Sharjah and which still haunts the common Indians.

Where was the 2014 final of Asia Cup played?

Javed good batsman no doubt. But Sharjah ground very small. With toss won and when you know the target not difficult to chase 245. Also Chetan had bowled many wides to maindad in this game. And when you know that it's last ball and you only have to hit and no other way and here comes full toss , any good batsman would hit it. But still, Yes Maindad was the lone warrior and he alone made the difference. He did not give up and did not loose hope. I remember after winning he bowed down at the ground to pay respect to God. The whole pak team were thanking God looking at the skies. I liked his confidence and not give up attitude and he made century and also won the game for his country. Must be the best day of his cricket life.

Shahid Afridi's six was not on the last ball, they tweaked the script a little bit. Because with 2014 level production quality, leaving it to the last ball could be tricky. In 1986 we don't even know it the ball actually went for 6. They already had a crowd ready to rush onto the field. The ball was not seeable on TV anyway.

It's not Asia cup final match 2014. Final match was played between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. Pakistan lost the final match from Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka was the Asia cup winner 2014.
