Good joke. Salim Khan was not a successful writer until Javed Akhtar joined him and vice versa. Both completed each other.

Just see where Javed Akhtar reached after the split, looks at his stature....7 national awards and innumerable filmares.... And where did Salim Khan reach after the split? Nowhere.... So any sensible person think twice before brainlessly writing what u did

@@aksshiv7843 Javed Saahab achieved those decorations mostly as a poet/lyricist. Salim Saahab only focused on scripts. He refused Javed Saahab's offer of joining him and sharing the credits for songs. Javed Saahab himself confessed that it was Salim Saahab who was a master at writing screenplays and learnt a lot from him. Both legends. I am a screenwriter myself and as is for everybody they are my icons too. Your rhetoric seems to underrate Salim Saahab. Salim Saahab wrote Naam (1986) and Patthar Ke Phool (1991) independently while Javed Saahab wrote Mashaal (1984) and Arjun (1985) independently. All movies were super hits.

Industry mein aaj script aur scriptwriter ki shayad hee koi keemat ho. Script ki kisiko zaroorat nahin hain. Actors aur stars pehle aate hain. Baad mein director. Main Kurla mein rehta hoon.

@@user-ij1wi7qr3r Javed Akhtar was drunk one night in a bar and Rshi happened to be there. He talked him down and basically was jealous that Rishi was such a big star, but had not worked in any of their movies. Javed said that he, (Javed) had made a star of Amitabh.
