I saw Chieli in 1997 or 8 at a winery in Oregon. His group couldn't make it, so it was just him, his guitar, and looping pedals. He blew us all away. I was so impressed, I immediately bought 2 of his albums. The studio work is never as powerful as live. His performance was a highlight of that summer.

Great clip. Chieli is an unbelievably good guitarist and an equally talented composer. I have seen him live a handful of times, and it is a real treat. While so much of his music is excellent, his 1996 CD "Renaissance" is in my all time Smooth Jazz Top 20.

WOW!....WOW! This is a great groovin smooth jazz tune from the incredible string work Chiele Minucci and this super multi grammy award winning band and when YOU hear sounds of music like this it transplants ines third eye to escape to those warm tropical islands or jump in the car for a sunny warm cruise on californias Pacific coast highway 101 from L.A. up north, Anyeay thanks for this great post, its not just SMooTH but also COOL.
