I loved the fused mask concept, it showed that for Jason the mask was second nature, and he had worn it for so so long that his skin was growing around it, I felt it was a good indicator of his mental health

Great video mate! Director Adam Marcus was telling me that he never planned on showing the face because when you think of Jason, the hockey mask "IS" his face. Hence why we get the elephant man look, so the mask looks moulded and infused into his head. I will mention that "Hearts of darkness" is an upcoming documentary on Jason goes to Hell and its going to answer all the questions...trust me, I'm an associate producer on it! 😉🤘

When he was reborn, they should’ve made him look like he did in the third movie with a fresh mask and everything.

I used to despise this movie but in retrospect it's actually not that bad, yeah there's some problems here and there but it has some of the best practical effects in the franchise and Jason looks badass.

Maybe thay should've changed up the scene when jason is about to be pulled into hell. Jason's mask is burnt into his face, so it's obviously harder to take that off. But I think they should've made it so that one of the demons should've ripped off the mask of jason's face in a brutal way, while some of jason's flesh is still glued to his mask and get a clear and good shot at it. It would've definetly been a hell of a scene to watch to this day.

I think a good spot for the unmask scene would be when he’s being dragged to hell. Maybe the demons grabbing him manage to rip it off before he jumps back out and it would also tie into the Freddy hand coming up to grab the mask at the very end

Part 9 jason is my fav version of him the whole franchise should've been just that version of him

If you look closely at the part where he blew up you actually can see the hockey mask flying off even though it's somehow got back on again And I still couldn't get a good look at the face

I think when they pulled him into hell would've been an ideal time to show his face.

Jason looked the scariest in part 3 & in final friday he was built & in Jason goes to hell the way custom was it was dope asf they did his makeup great in that movie🔥

Excellent video! This has always been a major talking point regarding why Jason looks the way he does and Sean Cunningham's illogical "Jason Takes Manhattan didn't happen" comment to the director. When fans realize Rennie, the final girl from Part VIII, was hallucinating the whole movie AND was high on dirty heroin near the end, her seeing Jason transform into a normal little boy was nothing more than her last reconciliatory hallucination. Jason's face is all exposed skull bone and raw, burnt flesh because Rennie threw a barrel of acidic waste in his face and then he took a bath in it! KNB obviously designed Jason with all this in mind, regardless of what Cunningham wanted; kudos to them! I don't believe in head-canon. Since JGTH never said or did anything to negate Part 8, we must accept it as canon regardless of fan desire or those of a producer just wanting a quick buck.
