This song means so much to me. I interpret it a bit differently than most. This is my song to me, I am a recovering heroin addict and have begun to cross addict to self harm. I have only done it once (it's been about 3yrs since the last time I self harmed) and that was earlier today, I no longer have drugs to numb me and I'm not sure how to process all these feelings I have now. I've lost 4 ppl in less than a month. My very closest friend was murdered a few weeks ago and since then it has literally been back to back wakes n funerals and honestly I'm tired. I feel alone all the time even when I'm having a face to face convo with someone bc I know I'm faking this happiness with every ounce of my very SOUL. I understand how you feel (apart from I haven't got past the addiction yet) My boyfriend is in detox at the moment. We've been together for 17yrs. He's clean now but I'm out here trying to do it myself so we're both clean when he gets out. I heard this song and it seems to represent us especially at the moment. There's a lot of love in our relationship and we've been through soooo much (including the murder of his mum recently) So I feel like I can kinda understand how you're feeling. I can't tell you anything coz you've got further than me already but hang in there. You've done the hardest part and I really respect you.

I love love love this song, it brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to it. I ended up in the hospital sent to Critical Cardiac this past June/July 2022, I couldn’t breathe. I had four stents put in my heart, with Holy Spirit having everyone in place for me that night, two stents were put in back to back in one heart ventricle and two stents put in two more ventricles in my heart, I had one stent put in my kidney, so I had 5 stents in total put in. The whole time from the moment I called 911 for an ambulance, I had Jesus’ Peace, I was filled with it throughout my two week hospital stay, even in the ambulance hearing the sirens on. I’m so Blessed to have pulled through, God still has a purpose and a plan for me. My husband told me on the phone he didn’t want to lose me and my twin son said he wasn’t ready to let me go. Praise be to God, I’m still here, living one day at a time and thanking God every morning for waking me up, I’m still here❤ Life is precious😘. Thank you for this song Jason, it’s so beautiful🤗 and the lyrics mean so much to me. My husband first showed me you singing this song on a video with a few other guys jammin’ in a room together, it’s so awesome!!!

Tristan Rose Seriously my crush and I rn. I am not in love, but I love him. I started liking him back in January, before it all started. My social studies teacher put us across from each other. We had this assignment where we had to write a journal entry about history in first person and choose a first and last name for them. I chose Jessica Smith. He chose Jack Smith. And we didn't plan it! Then we got teased by a few people. After that, he started staring at me and looking at me more. But I just smiled and waved. Then it all happened. Science happened. He stopped talking to me. Just all of a sudden. Back in April. He and I could only stare and smile at each other. My friends always teased that he liked me but then I started to believe them. I thought that the no talking thing was temporary, but it's gone on for six months now. I have only attempted and kinda failed to say hi to him and successfully asked him to sign my yearbook. And he has only stared at me and smiled. I love his smile, it's so comforting! Idk what to do. I want to talk to him but not in front of his friends. And I have a couple of ideas of what to say but I am afraid I'll stutter or choke up. Idk if he likes me. If you have any tips plz reply. I know I'm being ridiculous because I'm 11, but please. I don't want to lose him.

When my parents got married they went to his concert and he played this song. It's always been my parents favorite song and it makes them hopeful...but now they are going throught a really hard time and want to get a divorce. They played this song another time one day for each other and they became close again and they still love each other, but now they won't even talk to each other and my dad doesn't even live with us anymore. About 2 1/2 years ago, my uncle danced to this song at his wedding and I remember loving it. I just happened to stumble upon this song and all the memories came back, now I love this guy. I'll for sure be listening to more of his songs. An underrated lyrical genius.

I heard this song years ago but I had never seen the video....Wow!! I have always loved this song and I've grown to love it even more. As I experience more of what the song says, I love it even more than before. I love that the words were written on envelopes and postcards, and I liked seeing a stack of them wrapped up in string.

I listened to this song my first time 10 years ago when I was 10 years old. The thing is, English isn’t my first language. But I still would like this music and I would sit and listen to it with my mom wondering what it was said in the music. 10 years later, Im 20, I live in LA, can understand what he says and remember the little child that thought what was being said. Very nostalgic

When I hear this song I think of Mother Earth and how my heart is dedicated to grow and teach people basic skills needed. She deserves a lot better than we’ve given her.

This was our song. When Cindy transitioned to hospice she once asked what I planned to do after she was gone. The only time through her entire cancer ordeal she showed sadness or disappointment was when I replied that I might just run away. Our conversation inspired me not to give up after Cindy was gone. I started eating and exercising better. I applied myself to my job. During my performance review for 2023 my boss referred to it as a banner year for me because of my contribution to a proposal for a high value program that was subsequently awarded to our company. The positivity surrounding cancer survivors is appropriate but results is an unintended stigma for those that do not survive cancer. When Cindy’s oncologist said that Cindy was transferring to hospice he noted that we would not be seeing him again. It was like everyone had given up on us. Cindy died a year ago on March 23, 2023. Cindy has inspired and challenged me not to give up.

This song came out whenmy wife's mom was going through cancer, we got to bound with, and her grandbabies...b4 she lost the battle, 1 1/2yrs later....we were honored to have the time, my wife, only now can listen to this song without crying....the Good Lord gave them the time, us the time...family, love, closure ❤

I always cry when listen to this song or even sing it. It holds a lot of memories for me that are heartbreaking and sweet. I only ever have online relationships so, whenever I sing this song to my lover, it means a lot. I recently dedicated this song to my husband (that I've been married to for 2 months and in a boyfriend girlfriend relationship for almost a year) and now we're happier than we have ever been. I'm glad I said yes to being his girlfriend and his wife. If I hadn't, I'd probably still be deeply heartbroken, lonely, and depressed.

Danny McMillan that is really rude! I am a Christian and I believe in God and I found that REALLY offensive!!! God LOVES EVERYONE! He loves us so much that he even DIED for us but on the third day he rose again and proved that he could even defeat death! YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL TO HIM!!! Please don't say stuff like that because it really upsets people like me who are Christians that respect and believe in God!!!

I have recently become engaged to the most wonderful woman I have ever met in my forty-two years here on earth.
