Jason Isaacs in The Fix (1997) (1 of 4)

Фильм және анимация

Jason Isaacs as "Tony Kay" in The Fix (1997). "Dramatisation of one of the most infamous UK football scandals in the history of the game. In the early 1960s an ex-footballer, Jimmy Gauld, was able to bribe a large number of strikers and goalkeepers from football clubs all over the country to illegally throw matches and thus clean up at the bookies on these fixed matches. The scandal was eventually brought to light when football hating investigative journalist, Mike Gabbett, was assigned the story by his editor. Even though he had no idea where to start, Gabbett tenaciously continued to follow the story until he exposed top football star Tony Kay and his corrupt friends, which made headline news. The breaking of this story eventually led to Tony Kay and friends being sentenced to four months in prison and Jimmy Gauld as 'Mr. Fix It' receiving four years." (imdb)

This was set from 1963 onwards. The whole thing looks like it was in the 1940s. The 1960s were bright and with it. I believe Tony Kay had an E type Jag.

It looks like the 50s, not the 40s, but I take your point. I think it's the sepia tint.

This story has been butchered about 30% of it is missing & without it the story is pointless where is the match fixer Jimmy Gauld Mike Gabbert the reporter from the Sunday People & his co reporter Peter Campling & of course the chairman of the football league Alan Hardaker .

Tony Kay was better looking and had red hair. All Kay had to do was keep quiet.
