I really Loved this interchange. This dude is so down to earth, humble, ethical, animated, humorous, and occasionally quite intense. He laughs about his bombs, for goodness sake. I don't think most of us have the ability to make light of ourselves this well. I don't know if I could handle watching most of his movies, because horror is usually too spicy for my brain, but bless him for taking risks and not spending so much money bringing his vision to life.
A very pleasant political conversation with Hollywood producer Mr. Blum. I enjoyed it immensely. If only Rob Reiner could be as pleasant and understanding of a position that differs from his own. Meathead never grew up.
This was an awesome interview - reasonable discussion from different points of view but common underlying values ... as opposed to the Vox dude from last week ... who deflected, obscured, and in general refused to speak to the issues.

Fair play to him. I was always very dubious about the criticism of The Hunt because I don't see how you could make that story and have the audience root for the hunters. One of my favourite films is Hard Target, which has a similar plot and also has a social message about the treatment of homeless veterans, who are the ones being hunted in that movie. Obviously the hunters are going to be the bad guys.
Does everybody remember watching his movies back in the day before he got big time? I was so happy when he made it big because he always made good horror movies.
