I'm a retired Veteran of the British Infantry with 3 combat tours. I came home to Momma at the end of each deployment. Good food, Tons of Love and the best smelling laundry in the Unit 😁😁 When i was stationed in Germany i would drive a 1000 miles solid each way on a long weekend to get some of Mom's Sunday dinner, Roast Beef and Yorkshire puddings and gravy!!! Shit i would have a car full of guys heading home to their Momma's. Some of the toughest SOB's in life but everyone of them buckled at the sound of their mom yelling at them 🤣🤣🤣

I don't blame Tommy for still living with his parents. It's not cheap in New York, and he's just a backup who's probably unsure about his future in the NFL. He's not like Jason or Travis where he was drafted with near certainty to stay in the NFL. No, he's an undrafted rookie living in New York. Having said that, he should at least be doing his laundry and making his bed, like cmooooon Tommyyyyy WHY.

While it's not cheap to live in NYC, rookies even undrafted ones get paid $750k per season. That's rookie scale. Everything else a rookie gets in their contract is bonuses. They all have the same base salary. Plus he doesn't have to live in NYC being the stadium both NYC teams play in is in New Jersey not NYC. There is only one team that plays in the state of New York and that's Buffalo.

When my kids went to college they both came home and finished locally because living at home was so much easier. I would even go pick them up if they had to much to drink and needed a ride. Rules were let me know if your not coming home and no sex when I am home. I finally moved out and remarried and they had to pay the house payment and all the bills. I was a single mom ( after 20 years of marriage) we were very close, their friends all called me mom. I didnt allow partying or drinking or friends crashing at my house except on the rare occassion. If they wanted that they needed to get their own place. They both graduated with very little student loan debt and now both own their own homes. They visit and call often. One is close and has my grandbabies, one is about 5 hours away. I cared for my aging parents, who lived with my now husband and I for 5 years, until they passed away in their 90's. We take care of our tribe and are very close. Wouldnt trade the time for anything.

Im the type to move out but originally he was only a practice squad with no guarantee of staying on the team & could be picked up by another, he was only elevated (got guaranteed $) when jones got hurt & only played after tyrod got hurt so his initial plan as bein an undrafted practice squad guy was prob that he wouldnt make it in the league, as confident as players are...

Practice squad players make almost $250k per season. Rookies on the active roster make $500k more than that as their base salary. Then add in bonuses to it.

@@LdyVder Yup, once he got an official roster spot he was set but that wasn't til part way thru the yr after the injuries to other players, some undrafted rookies r even cut from or move to a diff teams' practice squad during yr so if u make it all 18 weeks u get that $250k before taxes (and qb running scout team has better chance staying on) but it's not guaranteed til on official roster...

Absolutely nothing wrong with living at home. We only have so much time on this planet, and he is spending extra time with his parents, something many of us will one day wish we spent more time doing. Now I will say... It's on Tommy to not be a slob and to make his own bed.
