Let me make something perfectly clear, I don't have a problem with the song either, speaking out against violence and crime is always a good thing. But here's where I think Aldean stepped in a little doo doo. The imagery in the video features mostly clips from the black lives matter protests and robberies and theft being committed by mostly black and brown people. And that came across as being bigoted. Now if Aldean wanted to be more balanced in his criticism of wrong doing and crime, why didn't he include clips of those thugs attacking the Capital building on January 6th? Why didn't he include clips of Mr. George Floyd lying on the ground with his hands cuffed behind his back and a cop with his knee on his neck? Why didn't he splash across the screen the dozens and dozens of white men who have gone into our schools and places of worship and other public places and gunned down innocent human beings? Why was none of that featured in the video? If you're going to condemn and criticize crime and wrong doings then condemn all of it, not just those committed by black and brown people.
