However, if she meets all of the requirements and they're married for 2 years, she can stay in the US, and then Gino could be financially responsible for her. The financial burden would be on Gino and not his country. That's the point of sponsorship. So that the person being sponsored isn't a burden on the US government. So, if she can't legally stay in the country, she's not a burden anyway.
