    Agreed. But unless we get better receivers and unless the defense doesn't regress we ain't beating KC , Baltimore and Tennessee. Hell, Pittsburgh should be competitive. And in Bill I don't trust because he is not playing one down of football. Comes a point where you need talent on your team. Period.

  • @speedmasters

    @speedmasters

    4 жыл бұрын

    Paxsoprano Dynasty lmao this isn’t madden where players regress. Patriot coached players rarely rely on just their athleticism to make plays, most of them have a great understanding of the game and they use their smarts to win.

  • @paxsopranodynasty7555

    @paxsopranodynasty7555

    4 жыл бұрын

    @@speedmasters What ? Players don't regress ? Defense in the NFL rarely carries over the same intensity from year to year on top of the fact that half last years D is gone in free agency . Then they have players drafted over the last 2 or 3 years we have no idea what they are because they haven't played. And top level QB play hides alot of mistakes in other areas. Brady was just average last year so he couldn't overcome past draft misses , lack of playmakers and injuries. I know everyone thinks Belichick is Gods gift to mankind, but if he doesn't start hitting on some of these draft picks they will not even be competitive pretty soon . And if you wanna bring coaching into it, Bill has been getting undressed lately by Reid, Harbaugh , Vrabel, Florres and the likes of that stiff in Philadelphia, so this supposed advantage at coaching is beginning to be overrated........

  • @speedmasters

    @speedmasters

    4 жыл бұрын

    Paxsoprano Dynasty sure..... no one ever learns the greatness of Bill until when he has a team that completely undresses every other team. Look buddy all I’m saying is that Belichick coached teams are very fundamentally sound on the defensive side. It seems like you don’t know that when a lot of other people do. Everyone on the defense isn’t even that old with the exceptions of Hightower, The McCourty’s and if you consider 29 old then Gilmore. So it’s not that hard when everyone is coached to do their job and nothing else. Belichick coached defenses like I’ve said are fundamentally sound so they don’t use their athleticism to make plays. It’s more than likely the Game film they’ve watched to make a play.

    Teabag Johnson Edelman and NKeal Harry, all the Patriots need is a TE, and draft another WR. The offense will be perfectly fine again. The O line is pretty decent and can do Stidham well. It was awful this year because Patriots had a 38 yr old TE who was the 3rd string and retired the day after they loss in the WC, Edelman played injured all season, N’Keal Harry a rookie who was injured up until week 10, and Dorset. That really isn’t good, plus their o line was god awful due to injuries in the beginning of the year. But now it’s looking well, Patriots just need to rebuild the offense a bit for a year or two.

    I really like how his footwork improved from game 1 onwards. Willing to hang in the pocket to make a throw but if the right decision is to run he'll take the yards quickly opportunistically. I like how his reads got quicker. Still his timing needs tweaking. His ball placement also got better. He likes slants and comebacks. Questionable arm strength. Good decision making when running. In summary I think he'll do fine especially if he has a veteran QB who will push him in competition. I think they'll let him play out season depending if they can find someone with a higher ceiling to possibly groom but he fits the mold of the offense that Brady ran not needing to go deep unless necessary.

    @@charlest6164 We'll never know until he gets his chance. He seems fundamentally sound with a good arm. Sure, I'd rather have Porn Star Jimmy back more than Brady or Stidham but the fact is neither Jimmy or Tom is likely to be under center this season for the Patriots so I hope they give Stidham a real chance. I think he will be fine but BB and Kraft need to surround him with some actual talent at WR instead of the complete useless cunts that they've given Brady to deal with for so many years now.

    Let Brady go, then start this kid in 2020. All thia talk about Brady leaving or staying. I love Tom, but its time. Keep Jarrett on his rookie deal, then add an offensive line. Jarrett will do great with N'keal and Sony, JE11, etc. The defense is stacked with high draft picks from 2019 that haven't played like Joejuan Williams. Dudes a 6'4 corner, plus JC and Gilmore. Winovich is a beast. All this panic on the media but we are going to kill it in 2020 with Jarrett if he shows up again Lee his rookie preseason. Remember there were questions of Jarrett succeeding Tom at the stary of the 2019 season. LFG PATS!

    For those worried about his arm strength, it’ll develop over time. As we can see that’s what happened with Brady. Once he hit the ‘07 season, his arm strength and overall play went from game manager to game changer. It might take Stidham some time before he becomes a game changer so expect run game and defense to play a huge part in the Pats offense for a couple years before they start opening the playbook up.

    Brady hadn't been a "game manager" since 2001. He led the league in passing TDs in 2002 and was an elite QB in 2004 and in 2005, during which he led the league in yards. This notion that he was nothing special until 2007 is mythical.

    0:12 He looks just like Tom Brady in this play, the play action, the relaxed stance in the pocket, the subtle footwork, the way he steps up in the pocket as if the pressure doesn’t phase him... he looks like he’s throwing passes in the park, so relaxed as he steps up. Other QB’s look rattled & they do everything too fast. Stidham looks extremely relaxed in the pocket. He will definitely be a star, he had 1 year behind Brady. I’m sure he absorbed everything from him, he was watching everything he did all year, from the preparation, to the footwork, the stance, the throwing motion, the demeanor, etc. Lots of people are doubting him but just watch him blow up & have a solid season. Over 3,000 yards, 20+ TD’s, over 62% comp. percentage, 93+ QB rating & below 8 interceptions. He will be a solid ass game manager who is clutch when it matters, makes very few mistakes. Pats will go back to being a run first team, allow Stidham to get game experience & as he continues to progress, Bellichick will slowly put more & more on his shoulders. Bill drafted him for a reason, I’m sure that he saw many qualities Brady possesses in Jarret. I’m confident Bill picked him knowing he would be the chosen one to replace Tom. He knew Brady was leaving after this year, . Pats will win 10+ games this year. If they draft Jonathan Taylor from Wisconsin they will be a hard team to stop running the ball! Imagine a RB duo of Sony Michel & Jonathan Taylor! That’s just 2 beasts running that rock. They should try to duplicate that 9ers offense from last season. 2 great backs splitting carries to keep them fresh, & a 3rd back who is great at catching the ball. Then use Play Action a lot to get big plays from Stidham & those receivers. They definitely need to get Jarrett more weapons though! I doubt they will use their 1st round on Jordan Love. & I doubt they’ll trade up for Herbert.

    Jarret Stidham reminds me of Bernie Kosar. Average mobility, however slides out of pressure well enough to allude a pass rush. If the field is open he can run, not going to win a foot race though. Accurate within the twenties and has a great awareness of where his receivers are supposed to be on the field. NE should have no problem winning games next season. The biggest problem is going to be improving upon their playoff result. I don’t see that happening, but another AFC East title is certainly not out of the question

    Stidham can play and be a starter if put in the right situation. They'll still have a pretty good defense. They just really need to focus on offense and their pass rushing. They have the corners, safeties, and linebackers. If they can revamp their offense and can rush the QB(not just with their linebackers) then I can see them winning 10 or 11 games.

    I live in NE. I was a huge JS fan in his college years. . I had originally hoped that Ryan Mallet would sit behind Brady for a few years learning the ropes, and then takeover in a type of situation like the Brett Farve= Aaron Rodgers, and or Joe Montana= Steve Young type situations... I will tell you now, that I truly believe that Jarret Stidham, if just given a real and solid chance to compete, could bot only be the NE Patriots next franchise QB, he could be a solid Drew Brees/Aaron Garcia tyor QB . Combined with a Solid Bellichek drafted/coached defense... Let's just say, I believe Stidham could not only be a competitor in the NFL, but also a winner.. I hope mac Jones will end up being EVERYTHING that I had hoped Ryan Mallet would be... ( a more accurate Drew Bledsoe ) and more! If not, I truly hope that Stidham gets an honest chance to compete for a starting qb job in the NFL this year. Stidham should have been started over Cam Newton... Sorry, but I just believe he would have done better..

    “Stid” looks good to me. I think he’ll hit the ground running for the most part. Ball seems to come out of his hand easy with good throw power, as well as accuracy (Don’t think he’ll throw many picks). He looks pretty poised and like he sees the field well, and he also has some sneaky mobility. Bill seems to like him.. so that definitely puts him in a good spot to stick with the organization. I think the Pats win the division and this guy kind of shows everyone that he’s gonna be their guy going forward. You look at guys like Garappolo & Brissett, that they ultimately were ok with dealing away & those guys are legitimate NFL QB’s... seeing Stidham’s film though, I actually like him more than both of them. Garappolo’s pretty good, but he’s in the perfect system for him where they don’t ask him to do too much. Brissett’s got a big arm.. but he lacks even Garappolo’s starting QB presence. I think Stidham has considerably more arm talent then JimmyG, and more QB1 presence then a guy like Brissett.
