Selangor is home to many generations of the Javanese and Banjarese people. Try ask around where tempe is made. Tempe is made from soya bean and is considered as health food. But its traditional food actually.

Kaz, belangkas also can be found in Sabah Sarawak too. That’s mean the whole Malaysia have it just that it’s not easy to get and sell like normal fish.. it’s a good opportunity you’ve tried it..👍🏻

Terbaik Kaz & Husni! We refer a couple who always stick together as ‘macam belangkas’, because in nature, belangkas couple always stick together. My recommendation- belangkas asam pedas in Kota Tinggi, Johor, belangkas bakar in Medan Ikan Bakar Kampung Portugis,Ujong Pasir, Melaka.

Yes.. Telur belangkas is halal. It is tasty but for those who never try it before better don't eat too much coz can get stomach ache and sometimes purging.

we can say when Japanese or any foreigner want to explore food around Malaysia, they can refer to KAZ channel. content become more interesting and adventures and KAZ show how should traveler communicate with local Malaysia.

if i am not wrong... the people of Japan used to ferment those mudfish or walking fish to eat during WW2 when fish and meat was scarce. this can be seen in the Japanese film リング・ワンダリング "ring wandering"

Kaz, if I m not mistaken... In Johor, somewhere in Kota tinggi there is belangkas farm. I have watch the dokumentery in the TV long time ago. I m not sure either it still exist or not.

Several month ago i tried belangkas for the first time.. yes the texture is hard to explain.. the best to describe is, it is chewy and salty..

Husni.. Embak Kaz ke Pantai Sungai Kajang, Tanjong Karang and kawasan padi, Sawah Sempadan, Tanjong Karang. Boleh sewa atv ronda pantai, kampung n sawah juak. Coba lah.. 👍

Check out Warung Belangkas Johor in Kota Tinggi, Johor. Can also find belangkas farm at Pusat Ternakan dan Penetasan Belangkas Sedili Kecil, also in Johor. There are several more gerai belangkas in Johor.

Belangkas eggs is delicious.. Iam always eat it and usualy i made curry and sambal.. Mntarang also very delicious and masak lemak is the best besides sambal tumis

Haha! Reminds me of Kabuto in Pokemon too. Still remember need to find fossil in their game via GBA. So, if you see any loving couple that always stick/stay close together, we called them as 'belangkas' too.

Teringat my late dad (al-fatihah)..cuma abah aku sj dulu yg pandai buang racun dan masak belangkas, arwah abah aku boleh masak macam-macam jenis masakan such as, gulai kari, gulai lemak kunyit, bakar mmg selalu la kami makan dulu dulu.kalau rebus mcm ketam pun memang padu cicah kicap lada terangkat, tp aku x pernah lg la makan belangkas yg size kecik tu biasa nampak cengkerang dia lbh besar dr size kepala manusia dewasa. but now aku x tau berapa lama sudah x pernah nampak belangkas d pulau tmpat aku tinggal ni ( victoria island) makan apatah lagi.. mungkin sdh lama pupus, aku pun xtau.. tp mmg pengalaman yg x boleh lupa, walau sdh puluh tahun (20 thn smpai kut). kalau datang pulau Labuan @ Sabah sini famous makan "ambuyat"@ sago, lokan bakar, kelapa dan jagung bakar dan banyak lagi lah.. enjoyed makanan Malaysia guys

Kedai ni x silap aku pernah masuk tv3..dia kata dia pernah makan belangkas di kota tinggi johor..kedai femes di kota tinggi..belangkas mahkota..so dia pon balik n try buat..dan menjadi..mantap..salam dari kota tinggi johor..

My first belangkas bbq experience was in teluk sengat, johore courtesy of local "abang polis". Quite tasty but not my palate. Not bitter at all. Has a significant fishy smell. You an check hazeman huzir youtube video where he tried asam pedas belangkas at teluk sengat, i think.

U can eat Belangkas at Belangkas Mahkota Restairant in Kota Tinggi Johore.. I think there is the best belangkas dish and u also can try Gonggong Snail at that restaurant

In my lifetime, I have not seen belangkas further south of Selangor but you can find it also on the coast of Perak. This is due to the seaside is muddy compared NS, Melaka Johor, Penang & Kedah. If you see Malaysia Map, u notice that Perak & Selangor is nearer to Indonesia so since the straits is narrower, so maybe its muddier. When I grew up in Lumut Perak, its normal to see belangkas and we have to be careful when swimming / walking by the seaside. The thorns are poisonous .

Belangkas can be found in Johor.. if not mistaken many restaurant in pontian johor serve belangkas. In my childhood,i live in Senggarang, batu pahat, johor. Quite regular eating belangas. 1st time while we picnic at tanjung labuh,batu pahat. We found a pair of belangkas & my brother in law 'bakar' it... The taste is awesome. Then few time we got belangkas and my mum always cook it as masak lemak... Really tasty 😋.. but it tricky to 'siang' the belangkas...dont ask me to do it 🤣
