Thank you for watching and encouraging comments, it's Hige and Me🌵
A little time has passed, but this year we went to the ceramic market in Mashiko during Golden Week.
We're sorry it's been nearly a month, but we'd like to introduce the record of the ceramic market and the objects we selected and welcomed 🙌.
The last time we visited there was in 2019 and this is the first time in three years. We don't usually welcome a batch of plates and other things, but only on the day of the ceramic market is different like " Let's do it today...!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥" and we have been picking out the most beautiful things from the numerous ceramics!
Hope you enjoy it when you have time! ☺️
W'd appreciate it if you click the Like button and subscribe us if you like our video! 🌸

So happy to see you again! You have been missed. I adore Japanese pottery. When I visited in 2015, our host took us to visit the studios of two of his pottery artist friends. I was so happy to be able to buy a couple of pieces that I treasure very much. As you know, I love your aesthetic and the beautiful pottery that you already own, so it's no surprise to me that your new pieces are just as beautiful. Yoshida-san's vases are my most favourite. I love vases maybe too much! Thank you again for your videos

Thank you so much for your lovely comment as always😊 We are curious who were the artists you visited. It 's always nice to find the piece we can treasure and we are so happy to hear that you found your treasure when you visited Japan. By the way I also love flower vases too much that it was so hard to choose from her works.🌱

Maybe 40 years ago I went by a small pottery exhibition in an art gallery specialised on ceramics. I looked at a celadon green bowl which had a small human figurine interwoven with a single snow pea attached. Sound somewhat Kitsch but it was not. Elegant shapes with some quirkiness. The object was a little bit expensive a few hundred DM - too expensive for me as I thought (I was just a low income fresh out of college person). I am still thinking about this bowl, kind of regretful that I did not buy it. Why oh why. Never found something similar again. The gallery is long gone and I don’t know the name of the artist. Now and than I search the Internet for celadon green bowl with snow pea attached. I even gave the bowl a name, the snow pea king.. So one should take the chance and buy the object of desire whenever there is something worthy and desirable to be found.

I love handmade pottery for the home too! But they will accumulate and I don’t know how to declutter them when space runs out. I always can’t bear to part with them cos they are such beautiful things! What would you guys do? Btw thanks for sharing your life, love your videos from singapore. 頑張ってね!

We havent face the situation yet we think but if it comes ,we might make more space somehow, reuse the item which doesn't supposed to be used or it might be just no problem as getting the item even we don't have space means we really love and it leads us try to fit somehow we guess😊

I love visiting Mashiko! My husband and I have a lot of Mashiko pottery. In your video I saw a few places we have not visited and I will make sure to do that next time we go. We usually stay on the main street and don't go anywhere else! The bowls you purchased are gorgeous! I love the colors of the glaze and the shape. Have a wonderful week :

Hello from Switzerland! 🇨🇭 👋😊 I loved this video!! Especially Maiko Yoshida ones!! 😍 does Maiko Yoshida have a website? I wonder if he sells anything online 🤔 I had a look and didn't find it, but maybe you can suggest something? Do you ever buy pottery online, and if yes, then do you have a favourite pottery website? many thanks! 🙏

Thanks for your sweet comment! We love Maiko Yoshida’s pottery! She doesn’t have any website or any SNS. I just checked if any shops sell her stuff but I only found one which store only two items(even sold out now) Even in Japanese research, there’re not many hits unfortunately. We don’t buy pottery online as we want to see, touch and feel them. But probably you can check www.aelu.jp/ for example. There’re tons of great shops in Japan but they store beautiful arts and crafts items.
