This time we asked to film Mori-san, a long-established tempura yatai in Nakasu.
In fact, this is the first restaurant I stopped by when I first came to Fukuoka, so I have deep memories of this place.
I was impressed by the owner, who seemed to enjoy setting up the stall as if it were a hobby rather than a job.
Come to think of it, I remember the first time I went to this store, he seemed to be enjoying his work.
The interior and atmosphere of the yatai have not changed since the Showa period.
It is one of the popular yatai in Hakata where you can enjoy tempura with the owner who loves Fukuoka.

I have been here 3 times so far. Even though I can’t speak Japanese and Mori San can’t speak English, we bond over what food and alcohol I order and sometimes I’ll get locals to translate. It’s some of the best times in the world for me. I will keep going here until he stops or I leave Japan

I have bad news. I have been back to his location 3 times in the past few months and he was not set up.. The yatai next to his spot says he hasn’t been around which is unusual . I don’t know what happened to him

I love watching these Yatai videos. When i get the chance to travel, i need to visit one.
This man could've been a movie star in a different universe... Or maybe he's exactly what he is meant to be - perhaps even in every universe. We'll never know but it's definitely a comforting thought that he's here for us.
