I remember a similar version got played at the funeral of my great uncle who died in 2020, who was a soldier in the Imperial Japanese Navy during WW2 (I think he served on the destroyer IJN Yukikaze)

Real history isn't taught. Japan kicked British Colonizers out of China. Then the British got pissed and sent in their American OSS dogs to start communist uprisings so they had to fight that off.
