Judging by the Japanese marching band contest I have streamed it appears that no matter how stunning the performance is there is just polite applause. I particularly love the reaction of the Tachiban members to the wild American applause when they were in the band contest in Pasadena. One time the cameraman was filming as he walked from the rear of the band to the front and the entire band had disappeared ahead of the Percussion/Sousaphone section. I was stunned because I had not heard an explosion & then l I noticed that the audience on both sides had turned orange... the entire front of the band was crouched down & fist-bumping/highfiving the little kids.

Because they don't have school administrator that are so tight with the money that they squeak when they walk. Americans used to this, Until the cheapskates decided it costs too much money. Pay more to teachers and a whole lot less to useless "On The Take" Politicians.
Absolutely amazing!
Play instruments like a pro,dance,sing probably straight a students.Their parents,I'm sure,are proud of them.
A very big round of applause to these students 👍👍👍👏👏👏 I couldn't imagine as they blow and dance.. awesome and incredible!!! Respect for your diligence and performance, SALUTE!!!💕👌⭐🔥❤️👍👏

Incredible!
I love watching this
Well done people, amazing to watch and the music is brilliant, best I have heard
A M A Z I N G ! Cheerful music ! Highest musical skills and precision ! Excellent performance ! Domo arigato ! Congratulations ! Chapeau !
This is so perfect...🎺😍
Wow that was Amazing! Great job. ❤️🎺🎼🥁🎷
I love these kids so much
They are very entertaining but a bit of a one trick pony when it comes to competition. Amazing diversity in Japanese marching bands with both All-Japan and JMBA. Tachibana only does the first. My all-time favorite is Nishihara MB from the early 2000s with Spanish music themes and uniforms, and an incredible guard.
This is so perfect
That was awesome
Hello Band, nice moves. " Hey! "
This was great!!!
It is fantastic👌👌👌👌
ITS SOO EPIC!
HELL YEAH, KYOTO TACHIBANA BAND
Beautiful beginning solo.
Bravooo!!
Excellent
🥰. 👍😊 you are. Good
As a musician, I find it incredible they would achieve these complex walks WHILE playing. Regular parades are merely progressing forward.
Magnificent players! Their music skills are incomparable to high school marching bands in the U.S. Great job!

Just noticed the left hand Eb clarinets…. Guess these bands actually get funding too lol
The video title says this is from the 2018 competition. I believe it is from the 2015 competition. The 2017 DM, Ron, is still marching and playing clarinet in this video. Beautiful performance. The camera person gets an F.

Wtf was that applause? Do they see such performances everyday😂?
And they said nothing was perfect!
The best part were the windows they marched. IMO doing windows is the hardest part because you have to trust other high schoolers not to fuck up but otherwise playing steady while jazz running is harder. Their music didn’t really excite me but the visuals were pretty good.

I searched the best japanese marchimg band Highschool and it showed this
Doesn’t matter who plays the instrument, English, Asian, Hispanic, German, music speaks in all languages ❤️
c'est impeccable du très beau travail
Excellent performance. Was surprised by the quiet applause at the end. I didn't expect the awful sounds that have become popular in the US but I expected louder clapping and from more people in this audience.

Neat trick to include the Sousaphone section spinning the Sousaphones, and then flipping them around their bodies, at mk: 5:30 - 5:38.
You guys are right
how in the gosh diggity dog darn are they dancing like that and not affecting their sound?
this is more of a musical dancing ensemble

I wish that a clarinet or flute would help the overloaded drum kit player off the stage. The bass drum has enough to do just looking around her instrument.
