My grandma had stage for liver cancer and passed away 5 years ago and she was Born and lived in Okinawa, Japan and also was in the internment camps during the Vietnam war? She survived the war and then became a citizen of us. it doesn't feel like my grandma's dead She's still in my heart no matter where I go. I still speak to her till this day. Listening to the song brings back many good memories and it makes me cry every time but I still tell myself that me and her will see each other again someday. This song is about two koi fish who love each other, swimming side-by-side down a river, exploring life. Sometimes their turns are smooth and other times they make that brief sudden *flit* that fish do, but they always move together.

Right now, there are people all over the world who are just like you. They're either lonely, they're missing somebody, they're depressed, they're hurt, they're scarred from the past, they're having personal issues no one knows about, they have secrets you wouldn't believe. They wish, they dream and they hope. And right now, they are sitting here reading these words, and I'm writing this for you so you dont feel alone anymore. Always remember, don't be depressed about the past, don't worry about the future, and just focus on today. If today's not so great don't worry! Tomorrow's a new chance. If you are reading this, be sure to share this around to make others feel better. Have a nice day!" 💖💖💖💖

My hearing has been going for awhile. The last several weeks, I sit in silence that even max volume and hearing aids does not break. I usually sit with earphones to hold my glasses in place. Once and awhile, I hear a distant thumping if the drum beat is loud enough. I play music with the hope that once and awhile, I hear something, but usually I go for hours in silence. After watching a movie last night (subtitles are now a blessing), I decided to try music to remind me of the Tanabata Festivals of my youth. For the first time in weeks, I could hear the song. The music is amazing and I am sure it is even more beautiful to others, but for me, it was the most beautiful sound I have heard all month. Thank you.

@@peanutbutter5237 It is ... better, but oddly. Since that post, I used my years of analytical skills and medical knowledge from writing diverse medical curricula on myself. I eventually deduced that genetics/DNA works differently from the Punnett Squares of old and came up with an expanded theory equating DNA to vacuum tube logic gates that use the electrical resistance differentials of the components. I used that to determine that I had a low expressing Cystic Fibrosis that was becoming more noticeable with time. That this would appear as a simple carrier on DNA tests, but a more refined DNA test would note that the combined voltage irregularity was causing a progressive form. This form would cause me to nearly die before resetting approximately every 8 years. Standard CF medication at a low dose would solve this. But each reset caused irrevocable system damage. My intermittent hearing was the build up in mucus in my ear canals combined with damage from 4 resets. It took me a year, but the doctors finally ran the test. It came back exactly as I predicted. I was the first person they ever knew to test as a carrier of CF without a related full-blown CF case being identified first. Still, they put me on a waitlist to see a Genetic Counselor. That was three months ago and the progressive decline has accelerated. I return to this music regularly but I estimate I probably have less than 6 months. Sad, really. The medicine could give me decades, but the doctors keep acting on outdated theory data and lack of critical thinking, or even reading my file. Oh well, maybe someone will get the information, become famous as the father of modern genetics, and change the lives of millions of other unidentified sufferers. In the meantime, I will still savor reveling in the memories evoked by this music, when I can hear it.

Until I was 49 (17 years ago -- I'm *really* old), I thought *everyone* saw colors and patterns when they listened to music with their eyes closed. Mio's lucky. His condition was recognized early on, so he learned to make it work for him. Me? I was just confused about a lot of things.

I have an unrealistic amount of things I want to accomplish, and this reminds me of that. At the same time though, if I'm not able to, then at least I was able to experience life for a little while. It is a bit saddening, but naturally not every person can accomplish every goal they have.

I’m a fan of japanese culture, spent time in japanese, one of the things that drew me to their culture was the samurai, not just because of the martial arts, but the bushido code. Yasuke was a black samurai. I was able to practice kendo, and some karate while there. I will return one day.
