Japanese Idols VS Swedish Candy 「FiDZ + K@hoRu@ (HUMAN SPIRAL)」[ENG]
Ойын-сауық
In May 2022 we had the opportunity to host FiDZ and K@hoRu@ at Kodachicon 2022 in Lund, Sweden. During their stay here we couldn't help but wonder what their honest reactions and opinions were on some of Sweden's most beloved (or not so beloved) candies. What do they think about the unique flavors have to offer here in the north of Europe?

ahlgrens bilar was actually a failed attempt at making marshmallows but they ended up liking how it came out and it got popular here in Sweden. I love salty licorice but it is an acquired taste.

We learn something new every day 😊
As a Swede, watching people from around the world experiencing our candy, especially the salty ones is so much fun! Salty liqourice is pretty much the only candy I eat tbh
Beware of the Ape, it's top tier Salt Licorice and one of the most popular Licorice candies for a reason. It's that good.
Might not be the most optimal way to consume them, but when I eat Djungelvrål I let the salt melt in my mouth before chewing. Then it mixes with the slowly melting liqourice. Granted, the initial kick is powerful, so getting to the chewing stage will be hard for some.

That sounds like a good way to do it!
When I see people try Swedish snacks, the highlight is always when they get to the licorice, so we will see if anyone will be able to eat a whole candy :D :D
when they picked upp the Djungelvrål and the music start... rofl
Very fun watch 😅 congrats to whoever edited! 👏

Thank you! It was one of our members!
I'm from Sweden, you were good. Its not easy to taste candy from other places. I've been in Japan a couple of times and you have really big pallets of flavors. But you took this like champion's
I love Djungelvrål but combining it with other candy seems like a bad idea 😅

Combining candy is the best, can turn out weird but most of the time it's good

Glad you like it!
Djungelvrål is probably not something that people will like at the first try, especially if they do NOT have candy similar to it ( like we do in Scandinavia ) its a taste you get used to and when you do its really delicious.
Hand it to the japanese, this was the most adorable swedish candy tasting session I've seen, and I've seen quite a few lately (youtube keep suggesting them to me) The selection here was pretty standard really, the only surprise being Salta Kattan, very nostalgic childhood candy and one of the few salmiak licorices that you can still find, most of them have unfortunately disappeared over the years. Funny about Fizzypop, everyone who tries them seems to love them, i'm no exception.
:) I love Salta Katten!

We will send you what is left in the bag (if we can find it) 😊
Salta katten mixed with Tutti Frutti tablet is 🎉
Liquorice is a difficult for loads of people. I like it to a certain extent, but it's not like I'd buy it if I were to buy something. The taste of Djungelvrål is initially very strong, but then it becomes quite sweet.
This was fun😅

Liquorice could be a good example of an acquired taste.
When i was a kid, i really loved salty licorice and samiak. I used to let the salt melt away in my mouth and then spit the candy out since i didn't think plain licorice was that amazing..i just wanted the salt. maybee swedish people 9have a salt deficiancy or something.

That is an interesting thought!
Djungelvrål & salta katten ❤
The salmiak taste is a aquired taste, and one that you can be used to over time, but wether or not you get used to it, you either hate or love it the taste.

No "Swedish Fish"? No "Polly"? Me sad :(
Sadly there was no tyrkisk peber in there. Otherwise, quite fun to watch.
