You'll also learn the mistakes that Japanese people often make when speaking to customers... :D Who here dares to correct the native speakers' mistakes? xD

Tricking Battles I’m not native Japanese, however looking at conjugation websites both “nasarimasu” and “nasaimasu” are acceptable. Don’t rely on my answers but that’s just what I saw. 🤷♂️

I already feel nervous when ordering food even in my native language. Imagine how much more anxiety I would feel if it is in Japanese Keigo. 😨😨😨
This is literally the one thing I can never understand when interacting with Japanese people, especially when they’re rapid-fire saying the words like rappers. This made it so much easier to understand them. Thank you so much!!

That restaurant ordering dialogue breakdown was fantastic, I've never fully understood everything they say back to me when I order things.
When Japanese customers came to our office, I couldn’t speak keigo but normal masu-form: they were super polite, didn’t point it out or looked disappointed and liked how I spoke Japanese, so lovely of them 🥰🥰🥰

It's more of a bonus if you use keigo and shows an even higher status of respect and humility. The same can occur in English- normal polite to very polite (Applebees waiter vs Ritz carlton waiter lol)

Thank you so much for this video! I was so confused the first time I went to a restaurant in Japan. The waitress spoke to me and I just went blank because I had no idea what was said. 😭 She very patiently helped me understand and spoke casually. I felt so bad, because her boss seemed to be upset that she spoke to me casually. 😱
I always used “omeshi agari desuka “ because my japanese co worker used lol so only now I noticed I was wrong damn ahahah
Dear beautiful angel Misa sensei. I humbly receive this lesson from you today and look forward to seeing you next time.

English keigo?
The concept of using different verbs to express the exact same sentence in a piloting tone will forever elude me. In English, "I am going to the shop" is the same no matter who you're talking to
Almost choked on my food when she dropped the apple in the beginning😅. Was not expecting that!
OMG thank you so much! I've been waiting for this for months lol
I've been waiting for this for a long time!!! Thank you 😍
Yes please more keigo videos. ミサ先生ありがとうございます、いつも。💓🤗
Thank you so much for teaching us some humble/honorific business speech! I really appreciate it. I've been wanting some videos with some good explanations. You do wonders, Misa!
Keigo is a little intimidating, both to learn and as a concept. Like, what if I say the wrong form in the wrong situation and then I sound disrespectful? :(

This is the first "Japanese Ammo" video I have seen and I found it extremely useful. The lesson was extremely clear and succinct, thank you. It is comforting to know that even Japanese find keigo confusing, which I did not know before. BWT, Misa, your English diction and phrasing are perfect! 👌

みさ 先生、 First, it is good to see that you seem to be feeling better. Second, this video REALLY helped to make more sense out of the various levels of polite speech, the explanation of the different verbs was particularly informative. In trying to learn Japanese, it’s been confusing hearing so many ways to express the same thing. This video put a lot of that information into a very compact reference that I will watch over again to help it sink in. いつもいつも有益な授業を教えてくれてありがとう!
Great video Thank you :)))
