Japanese Alarm Clock "3-2-1 WAKE UP!"
Every day, my 1980s Japanese alarm clock blasts me awake with an Orwellian scram tone, while telling me "ARE YOU READY? THREE! TWO! ONE! WAKE UP!"

I have one that I need to find too!
This little guy just popped into my head randomly. Thanks to youtube for keeping it alive haha
The internet really is amazing. Just now, right out of the blue, something in my brain clicks and makes me remember this damn clock I had as a kid. Early 90's I believe. So I just type up what it said (more like shouted - impossible to forget) into google and boom, someone made a video of it. Just crazy. Thanks, man. A little piece of my childhood right here.

Same. Hard to forget a clock like this
My grandpa's had more of a train whistle sounding one. He passed in 2020 around my birthday from cancer. Never really got along with him but I'll always remember his train collection
VINDICATION! People think I'm crazy, that this alarm didn't exist, that I was making it up! THANK YOU. I MUST TELL THE WORLD.
I had this as a kid and it used to scare the living shit out of me every morning lol
Oh hell I had one exactly like that, I cannot believe I found this video
I remember seeing my Dad have an alarm clock like this in his old apartment and in Brooklyn ny from the time I was a baby and it's the best I've ever seen, and this is an alarm clock from 1987. I believe that my Dad still has this alarm kept as a memory and it makes me think about him whenever I watch this clip with the alarm clock alarming and the man's voice saying "Are you ready? - 3-2-1 wake up". Brings back memories from the time I was a baby in 1987.
Bittersweet memories. Loved that alarm clock but don’t miss the way it used to wake me up 🥴 it can’t be healthy 😅
Mom worked at JCPenney in the lamps and gifts department. They had these clocks and sometimes I would have to hang out at the store after work with her because she wouldn't leave me home alone. So I spent time playing with the clocks. I thought this particular one was kind of creepy. Sure brings back memories! Thanks for sharing a little snippet from my childhood.
I had this exact same model. Bought it in Japan in the late '80s.

Me too! I bought one in Tokyo when visiting my brother in 1987. I need to find it now.
I had one in Darwin, Australia in the 1990’s I think my old man bought it back from business trip to a London.
I had one of these and loved it,might have to get on e-bay and find another one.
I had that same audio clip as part of a toy train set "audio effects box"... there were 3 red buttons (if I recall correctly)... one made that "I rang, 3,2,1 wakeup!" the other was a steam train whistle and chugging clip"whoo whoo, chugga chugga chugga chugga", and the last was a train bell "ding ding ding ding"... you had to hold the buttons down to keep the audio pumping out. Interesting that it probably originated as a clock!!!

Hi! I'm desperately trying to find the train version of this alarm clock. I used to have it and it looked like a dark red-black locomotive which would make the same sounds as this one in the video. Do you remember some additional Infos about this specific model? Thank you!
I had one of those too! Miss it!
I love that!
this was hilarious to wake up to
I owned one. It mysteriously disappeared. After much investigation I found my wife "got rid of it". Possibly Office Space Printer style.

Ive had this alarm since the 80's. I still have it. At some point it got smashed and Ive been looking for another.
DUDE! That is THE alarm clock I had growing up!
Please, my Dad'S TWIN BROTHER HAD THIS AS His ALARM CLOCK, SOME 29+ years later. My Uncle Ken gave it it to him as a gift from Japan, some. Please, if you have it...! My father is 83 y/o+, and still looks at his version of this "clock" (nonfunctional), and mournes...!

I managed to get the clock to work! It now has a possibility of pride in my curio cabinet. I recorded a sound file of the alarm noise to use as my morning alarm tone...!
I bought one exactly like that while visiting my brother in Tokyo in 1987. It’s obnoxious but beautiful.

I have one but it is broken... I wish I could fix it!!
My uncle had this alarm clock. We used to torture him with it because he was a hard sleeper. Put next to his ear!
But why does it have a Nazi, an air raid siren, and someone banging on pipes? It’s so bizarre!
