[JAPAN WALK] Tokyo DisneySea Walking Tour, Jun.2021

I went to Tokyo DisneySea for the first time in about a year.
I entered the park at 10 o'clock and took a leisurely tour of Tokyo DisneySea for about 2 hours after 11 o'clock.
June in Japan has a lot of rainy days, but I was happy because it was very sunny on this day.

    Thanks for the video. The tour was amazing. Tokio Disneysea is the park I want to visit the most and I hadn't seen a walking tour of it before. I knew the park was extremely well detailed and demanded each visitor to explore every nook and cranny but Oh, boy, this really showed it. I love how well themed each land is and how smoothly the transition is from one to the other: it's like, you can see just a little glimpse of the other land from afar as to spike your interest and keep you moving but it doesn't reveal too much as to not clash with the theme of the land you're on. I love the design and details of the Disney pavements at any park but here it works the best with each theme. That "desert sand", then detailed mosaics, bricks, cobblestones. Wow, just wow. Thanks for the great content!

    Disney doesn’t actually own the Disney Land in Japan. It’s owned by a completely different company called the ‘Oriental Land Company’ that just leases the brand from Disney and pays royalties to them. Oddly enough, the OLC operates a Disney park better than Disney themselves.

    @@ct6852 It’s definitely a complicated deal (at least imo) but from what I understand the OLC has to pay to lease the Disney name and all of it’s IP, pay royalties on top of that, and give a cut of all ticket and merchandising sales to Disney. I may be missing something else but, yeah, Disney makes a lot of money off of this park.

    Thanks for the beautiful walking tour. Just out of curiosity, is it usually this slow? Or was this due to Covid, or the season? Looks like they did a wonderful job on the park. I honestly think it looks better than anything we have here in Orlando, FL. And our parks here are literally mobbed with people to the point that's it's not even that fun to go anymore. Then again, I grew up here and live a stones throw from the park, so I've been so many times I guess you could say I'm spoiled on the place. But over the last decade or so Disney World really has become a mob scene.

    The attendance to this park isn’t as much as WDW but these parks were also designed to accommodate the large crowds which can sometimes make it look empty. You don’t see that in the American parks because of poor planning (but to be fair, when those parks were designed, no one knew that they would see 20 million people a year)

  • @brianjones8432

    @brianjones8432

    @@ofclshn That's a fair point as it is a far more modern park. But it also appears to be more aesthetically pleasing and creative as well. It feels more like the Imagineers were given free reign rather than having the constraints of the corporate powers that be holding them back.

  • @emmacp333

    @emmacp333

    @@ofclshnactually I can promise you this park was not designed for the crowds it usually gets … the Japan parks are, along with Magic Kingdom, the busiest theme parks in the world. You cannot move in peak season. Waits averaging 4 hours per ride… at least at WDW you have more rides to jump between. This video was done during COVID though, so that’s the reason it’s quiet. Japan has only just re opened its boarders to the world ☺️

    Disney needs to step up their game and put a new park at Disneyworld as innovative as Disney Sea. Not build the same one over again but surpass what we see in this video. With the new Universal Epic Universe coming online in a couple of years Disney should be working on something to keep their fans coming back. All the grooming and woke nonsense is driving people away so when Epic Universe opens WDW could see a noticeable drop in attendance.
