Japan Trip! Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route! (Snow Wall, How To Go, etc!)

Took the absolutely beautiful Japan Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route on one day, and it took the whole day. Paid $100 per person to do this trip, and I loved it. I show how to get to and from Kyoto to this route, and even the beautiful sights along the way!

Thank you. Great Video. The alternative approach is to start at Nagano and took the reverse route. In this way, one can beat the crowd. Spending a night in the mountain is great, either at Murodo or Midagahara. We stayed at Midagahara, and the sunset was terrific.

Hi, Finally someone was able to explain the route! Thank you for your video. I'm planning to do it the same route back since my hotel is in Toyama, but I guess that's hard to do?

Edward, awesome video. Any idea the time you first got onto the trail? and ended up at the end? Considered for my next trip but wondering if it was be advisable to split over two days and stay somewhere along the trail.

Yes, it was an all-day event. I remember leaving Kyoto around 7:30-8am, and ending close enough to almost miss the last bus out (I think 5pm)

@@EdwardInTX Thanks for the reply :-) I think if we do it then we will position ourselves in Kanazowa (only been briefly before) and then set off at 6am. Sounds like it's needed from what you've said.

@@EdwardInTX Thanks mate, it's been really helpful so great content! Just need to weigh up if I want to see Sakura, snow festival or this alpine trail :D wish Japan wasn't so far away or I'd be going very frequently.

I’m planning to do this on the first week of May 2020 after Japan Golden week from Nagoya. Is that a good date? Thank you!
