    Oh my gosh! This is so well-researched!! I used a pocket wifi back in 2018. I'll probably just do that the next time as well. It seems potentially more pricey, but it seems like a more straight-forward option. Great job!

    eSIM. Install it a few days before landing. Switch to it when you land. Done. No extra thing to charge or keep track of.

    It's on the first page of the application form. It's the page where you choose the Data Plan. At the very bottom of that page, there is a field to enter the Coupon code :)

    I will be arriving at Osaka International Airport (ITM). There are no counter pickup for pocket wifi with Ninja Wifi. Is there another option to pick it up? Or do you know any pocket wifi vendor that is at this airport? Thank you.

    We are not sure if pocket Wi-Fi from outside Japan can be used in Japan, so please check with your pocket Wi-Fi company.

    Thank you for your comment! Depending on the plan, you can obtain a phone number with an eSIM and use it for traditional calls and SMS as well.

    HI! I was just in Japan in May and no Tmobile will not work. You will need a Sim card or wifi just like the video says.

    @@yukiagu - Thank you, I'll do that. Just for cya, I spoke with T-Mobile customer service and they said that it would work. I don't know why they bother to have that department... most of the times I've spoken with them, they're really useless.

    They told me that too and it didn't!!! I ended up having to get a SIM card at Haneda airport as soon as I got there because my cell was not working and I couldn't even let my family in the USA know I made it safely. Next time, I'm going to follow this guidance from Samurai Jinjiro and look into all the other options. Safe travels to Japan! 🇯🇵⛩👘🍱🍣❤

    Sim cards are better Buy one for each member of your family / travel group That way you can split up when you're at like Shibuya / Shinjuku / Disney as each person may have a different interest and you can then regroup later without any problem using your chat app
