[What kind of hotel is TAOYA NIKKO KIRIFURI?]
Originally, this hotel was Mielparque Nikko Kirifuri, which was established by Japan Post in 1996.
Known for its construction by renowned American architect Robert Venturi, the hotel is located on the expansive grounds of the Nikko Kirifuri Plateau, a national park.
Mielparque Nikko Kirifuri then closed its doors in March 2007, and was renovated and reopened as Oedo Onsen Monogatari Nikko Kirifuri in April of the same year.
The hotel will reopen in 2023 under the TAOYA brand, the highest brand in the Oedo Onsen Monogatari hotel group.
While maintaining the traditional service style of two meals per night, the hotel operates as an all-inclusive hotel that includes welcome service, after-bath service, and evening meal service under the positioning of “Onsen Resort”.
Oedo Onsen Monogatari has invited Mr. Takaharu Takashina, chef of the legendary “Hapuna” restaurant in the Shinagawa Prince Hotel, where reservations are not taken, to serve buffet meals as the chief culinary advisor, in pursuit of the particulars of “how to make guests enjoy the food”.
TAOYA Nikko Kirifuri is located in Nikko, one of the most famous sightseeing spots in the Kanto region, and is surrounded by nature in a “relaxed and carefree” atmosphere.
