When Mako was a member of the Imperial Family, she received 3,050,000 yen per year before reaching adulthood and 9,150,000 yen per year after reaching adulthood from the Japanese government. Since the cost of living for the royal family is a separate budget, Mako would have saved all of the royal expenses she received from the Japanese government. However, it is likely that she will receive some form of support from the Imperial Family.

People should just lay off her. Let her live her life. She gave up princess-hood to just be a normal person. All respect to her. She’s in a new city in a foreign country and anyone who’s traveled knows how one can get lost. I can’t recall how many times I got lost in foreign cities

It’s nice to see her all casual and chill, unlike when she was still a princess. But there is still this little lingering question in my head: how can she afford to live in New York _(and a reportedly US$4,800 a month condo unit)_ when she’s jobless and her husband’s working as a clerk in a legal firm? I mean, I might be wrong with what I read, but the annual salary of a clerk in NYC ranges from US$40,000 to US$48,000. That’s like US$3,300 to US$4,000 a month. So, how? Unless she’s still receiving an allowance from her family back in Japan. 🤔

@@nochsonnenlicht As far as I know, the Japanese imperial family has no salary, only allowances. If Mako was able to save money from her allowances, then maybe, she has enough by now to live such a life in NYC. But if the money’s coming from her husband’s clerk job alone, I don’t think it’s enough for the both of them.

Agreed. Lots of hand carries in both hands/shoulders and wandering are quite odd compared to other people passing by. There is a smell of the attempt to improve people's perception by pretending commoners' reasonable shopping and no security guard expenses. Since the acting level is still junior, some additional expenses to improve the acting quality may be needed at the Broadway. lol

If I were there, I would help Princess Mako at any cost.

It is highly likely true that security guards were with Mako but not closely together, therefore photos and videos didn’t catch the guards. Mako is purposefully acting as if she were lost without security guards. It implies the appeal to taxpayers that she isn’t counting on expensive security guards. Don’t you think that too much hand carries and overgesture are quite unusual?

Mako lives on Japanese taxes even though she got married and became an ordinary person. This is fraudulent and must be guilty. She also revealed herself that she was involved in Kei Komuro's financial troubles while she was engaged. This is unconstitutional. Foreigners want to know the fact that Mako is a tax thief. Kei Komuro and Mako Komuro are tax thieves.
