As martial art practitioner myself, that sword dance really interesting me. So far all indigenous - ancient sword arts from many countries that I've seen (Middle East, Africa, Indonesia, Filipino, India, Malay and more) have similarity: One handed sword style. Maybe we can conclude that one handed sword is more popular and used more widely in more countries than two handed sword.
