When I travel, exploring grocery stores is my favorite thing to do! We have fabulous food in New Orleans so with the exception of local favorites, I tend to eat out of grocery stores in other countries. My all time favorite is Waitrose in the UK. Awesome sandwiches on artisan breads, amazing array of cookies and chips, unusual candy and soft drinks - it's all there. After a long day of sightseeing I much prefer to sit in my pajamas in the hotel with a great grocery store meal. It's a lot cheaper, too!

Hello fam! :) I saw that Ruth was saying that powdered sugar is really expensive. If you guys have a food processor/blender you can make it yourself with regular sugar :) It's one cup of Granular sugar with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch.

I often go to Maruetsu and Life. From now on, ”Nabe" is delicious. Just cut vegetables, meat, and fish so moms can enjoy it lol Depending on the soup, any ingredients will go well, so children will enjoy it too.

Stay away from Japan. Radioactive contamination problem is still ongoing problem in Japan. Almost 18,000 Japanese people died with cancer or leukemia caused by radioactive contamination from Fukushima. Stop eating radioactive contaminated food and water. Otherwise, you're going to get cancer, leukemia or infertility. Japan WAS good country but it's severely contaminated by radiation since Fukushima earthquake happened in 2011. Additionally Japanese government is trying to hide the truth about radioactive contamination. However, People have the right to know the truth and what's going on really in Japan.

大家族には業務スーパーは助かりますね。この動画の業務スーパーは品揃えが良い方だと思います、生鮮食品や日配のものは置いてないとこも多いですよ。 お菓子、インスタントラーメン、シリアル、清涼飲料水などはドラッグストアの方が安いことが多いです。

いつも楽しく拝見してます！ ウチのメインスーパーも業務スーパーです！ここは神戸ですが同じ物が売ってるので嬉しくなりました！ママさんが手にしてたこんにゃく、生芋こんにゃくをいつも買います。生姜と醤油をしっかり炒め絡めて「一口こんにゃくステーキ」美味しいですよ！次の動画も楽しみにしてます！

「こんにゃく」や「しらたき」は冬の定番の「おでん」の材料ですね！ 最後の「マルエツ」はうちの近所にもありますがパンやお弁当、お惣菜は時間帯によって割引(discount)されるのでお得ですよ！

日本ではこれからの季節おでんが大人気です✨その具材にこんにゃくは良く入っています！！冬になるとコンビニでも売ってあるので是非、トライしてみて下さい😁

I loooooove rice crackers SO much!! Hard to find in my area (rural).

これからの季節は、こたつにミカン。昔、食べ過ぎて手が黄色くなりました。冬場のビタミン不足にはお手頃です。産地で箱買いをすればいいんですよ。

食文化の違う国で 家族のためにできるだけ安く 美味しい物を作るために 試行錯誤でお買い物は 楽しい反面大変なことですよね。 商品は日本語ばかりですし。 それでも家族でのお買い物なら 楽しいが勝ってるようで良かった です(^^)

週一回業務スーパーで大量買いしている相撲部屋の様子をTV番組で以前放送していました。 近所の業務スーパーは生鮮食品を扱っていないので羨ましいですね。 今はクレジットカードが使えるようになったのでここで購入する機会も増えました。

I am not sure if you ever found a source for molasses, but when we lived there the Motomachi Union もとまちユニオン 元町店 store had the Brer Rabbit brand I believe.

The youngest ones aren't always wearing them, which is proving pointless because they will bring it into the house and expose the entire family.

After watching a recent I was wondering about medical care , how you found a pediatrician, how are the hospitals for care ? Loved the grocery store tours and the school sports day. It's challenging, that's for sure. But there's a national health plan that you pay for in Japan that covers a lot of stuff. Just the way you use it is very different than in Western countries.

Thank you for the reply. I just watched your two videos of Joshua’s burn accident. Very informative. Once of our sons sustained a similar burn, he is 30 now and no scars ! He’s also a firefighter ! I always go grocery shopping at OK, Gyomu Super, Mega Don Quixote (the one you went to in another video), and Aeon. Naka-ku Yokohama has lots of cheap grocery stores! Soooo gonna miss Mega Donki when I move to Enoshima... We don't have Inageya in Yokohama. It looks like a nice store! I also personally love Shokuhinkan Aoba （食品館あおば）because they sell animal organs (kidney, spleen, uterus, etc), which is VERY difficult to find in Japan. I need them because I feed my pets raw. (And it's funny because I'm gonna name my second ferret Aoba)

If someone from The US wants to get a little taste of Japan they can go to Hawaii. Southwest Airlines has some super affordable flights to Hawaii now too. I took advantage of that in late 2021.

I always watch youtube. Thank you for the fun video. But you should distinguish between'shake'and'salomo'. 'shake' is overwhelmingly tastier than'salomo'. It depends on how you cook.

Today's video is a super feature. "Business supermarket" is cheap, but I think the product lineup is small. As high-end supermarkets, Odakyu OX and Seijo Ishii sell good products with a focus on quality, but they are expensive. Major supermarkets balance quality and cost, but I think they are a little expensive. When I lived in Sagamihara, I went to the "OK Super" in my neighborhood. I thought the price was cheaper. REUTTER-family Mommy knows the price well and is a shopping professional.
