Definitely backing this book project. Know Gary from the hulk, one of the only things marvel gets right, getting artists the chance to show their work, especially since you can buy a virtual copy 👍👌💯😛 and it's funny that the creators of magma tashi are so proprietary, since characters like scope dog, tekkaman are properties done by the fantastic sentinel company. The only magma tashi merchandise I readily know is the marmit 12"

You'd think that it would be easy to license out Ambassador Magma given that there probably isn't much demand for it. But it is what it is!

Quality is what I strive for on this channel!

It is so nice to see Japanese stuffs keeping places on people's hearts. I was too young for マグマ大使 but watched some スペクトルマン. (I was, alas, more of ウルトラセブン girl then. But I still can sing the opening song!) Wish you people good luck!

Wish someone in the west could do something with the Golden Bat, the japanese superhero that predates Superman. He is public domain so turning him into a recurring character in the DC Universe would not be farfetched

Hi. Brazilian here. Those heroes are huge over here.

I bought all 5 issues and backed the kickstarter hardcover collection back in April. Since 2015, comic books in the US have been invaded by Japanese tokusatsu heroes besides Power Rangers: Kamen Rider, Ultraman, Redman, and the Spectreman Heroes. I personally like Kaiketsu Lion-Maru and Tetsujin Tiger 7.

Point of order: Spectreman was originally called ‘Space Apeman Gori’ , they changed it to Spectreman later in the run. ETA: I had no idea that Antarctic Press was still hanging on out there! Man I really miss Twilight X. That was a fun comic and the art got better and better.

Have you seen the pilot film for the American Lion-maru remake Samuraion, by any chance? It's...uh...less good than Spectreman Heroes, to put it generously.
