Forgetting past mistakes the generations of Japan after the war are completely different. I like the people & respect their sovereigns. Very dignified & humble. I couldn’t stop laughing though at the black hat of that British dignitary when I saw him on TV : 3 black chickens with their plumage in disarray.

The Emperor and Empress had attended a State Banquet hosted by the King and Queen. This was a separate, albeit, equally important occasion.

Empress Masako cannot attend all events. This is because the jealous Empress Dowager does not want many people to see her achievements. When the kind and intelligent Empress Masako was suffering from bullying, Queen Elizabeth tried to rescue her. King Charles also cherishes her. The Japanese people hope that Empress Masako will be freed from the bullying of the Empress Dowager.
There's a place for kings and kingdoms - that place is in history and fairy tale books

@@onion3910 as an American don't speak so broadly I completely understand it. its hundreds of years of tradition that dates back to the medieval ages i am willing to bet that if the us survives that long we will have some traditions that we would find weird to younger nations (or by that time planetary populations)
