    The worst are the older people that don’t give a shit about cars but have money to buy them to fuck other people. Really makes me resent people. Look at USA R32 prices. GTRs in 2014/2015 they were 18-22k now theyre 30-35k. GTSts were 10-12k in 2014/2015 now theyre 18-22k. Theyre not making any more of them. mid 80s to mid 2000s JDM cars are the new 60s-mid 70s muscle cars. The bubble will pop but not for decades.

    I've been talking with my friends about the possibility of the bubble bursting with car prices. It's a tough call. There's quite a few variables to consider. I've always kicked myself for missing the boat on JDM car prices. A lot of it is hindsight. Obviously JDM prices are driven up by the US rule eventually. Here in the UK its supply and demand. Rust kills a lot of older cars and they got scrapped. We also had "the scrappage scheme sending some nice cars to the crusher. With nostalgia, when people get a bit older and can afford what they couldn't, the demand rises. In the future, things like tax, legislation, restrictions, environmental issues, fuel types and the economy could all put pressure on the bubble. On the flip side, people with capital are still buying rare or limited number cars on a waiting list for investment purposes. Bit of a role of the dice really.

    I don’t see the bubble popping. The r34 has been my dream car since I was a teen. I’m 39 now and have an 11 year old son. The r34 is ALSO his dream car now. There will always be new generations of enthusiasts that will LOVE this legendary car. With such limited number that have survived till this point I feel it will only become more of a rarity. Just my 2 cents.

  • @voongnz

    @voongnz

    Yeah, supply is getting worse with more owners holding on, I don't see demand dying off soon. It'll probably plateau at some point. Also people are going to see that they'll be well supported with nissan reproducing parts for their heritage models which the rb26 is one of.

  • @keonerawlins5173

    @keonerawlins5173

    Totally agree. It may plateau but I don’t ever see a situation where the bubble will pop and prices drop. These cars are far too iconic and the demand for them will always be present.

    @@keonerawlins5173 yeah the hakosuka and kenmeri fetch crazy prices when once in a blue moon one goes on the market. Less than a year ago, here in New Zealand a hakosuka was sold for 400k nzd. R34's have a much bigger demand right now, although not as rare, but still rare, the prices will still rise maybe reach hakosuka/kenmeri levels one day. If you just type in "r34 gtr record price" or something similar in a search, you'll get a bunch of crazy news headlines.

More markets with Jdm cars like Malaysia, Thailand will start selling them, and prices will even go higher. Like 2 months ago we tried to sell a BNR34 Vspec2 for 100K usd, and the car is in Malaysia. Now sellers from Malaysia and Thailand are starting to backup their prices. Due to the demand. There’s not end in sight

    The Subaru eye names are primarily for the GD chassis years of 2002 - 2007 in the US market. Starting with the bugeye with the big circle headlights, Blobeye which you correctly identified, and ending with the hawkeye that has the sharper headlamps. Each model year has minor changes elsewhere on the car with each facelift.

    Alright man here’s how the Subaru’s go 😂 -Gc8 we all know that haha -Bugeye is the completely round looking headlights, and the big fog lights -Blob eye is the first one you pointed out, they have longer headlights, and smaller fogs -hawkeye is the seconds ones you didn’t know! They have long thiner looking headlights with a 3 piece grill -then you have stinkeye which started the “widebody” generation of the wrx and sti. They have longer blocker headlights with blinkers on the corners -and the new generation is well there’s a few names, eagle eye, evo eye, mean eye whatever hahaha. But those look more like the evo 10s, big grill in the bumper, and blinkers under the headlights. I hope this helps a little bit with the Subaru naming, I wish I could include pictures for each to make it more clear

    The looked sufficient for just yourself but definitely a no with the condition of the roof. Love the orange RX7. Those Subaru's are known as Hawk eye. I wish when at the PA you'd show more of the cool van's like that black Veilfire.

    I definitely agree there is an M spec Nur here in south Australia for sale for 555k it's just crazy over priced it has 13,950k km on it but in all honestly no Nissan should be even close to being worth that much all prices have gone up here for the more rare cars

    The R34 GT-R V-Spec became legal in Canada since 2014, we aren't behind time. Those cars has been here for 7 years now, we got a 15 years Law for importing cars. They're quite expensive here, I'm talking 90-100 Grand to own.
