    I appreciate Takashii's desire to find elder expats who have lived in Japan a long time. I feel these elders can really have a lot of insight into how things are moving in the country and have so many crazy stories about a very different Japan.

    I thonk literature is one of the WORST ways to build language fluency. Without frequent active practice with expert speakers, bad habits can't be corrected.
