@@bugatti99vun An emperor and a king are two different things, an emperor is the sole leader of an empire. While a king is the ruler of an independent state. The person being enthroned this year in the empire of Japan is Naruhito, he was taking over the role as Emperor from his father Emperor Akihito. Akihito was made Emperor of Japan in 1989, seeing an Emperor getting enthroned is a very rare occurrence as it only really happens when the current Emperor reaches a comfortable age to resign at or when he dies.

This is only part of the many ceremonies. Because the Imperial Family's ceremonies are based on the ancient Japanese Shinto religion, they are performed in a very dignified and solemn atmosphere, unlike the royal ceremonies of other countries. The Emperor also performs a number of Shinto-based ceremonies every day for the happiness of the people, even those that are not disclosed to the media. This is the reason why the Japanese people have been loyal to the Emperor since ancient times. 天皇陛下万歳
