I love DONKI stores. I went to Japan in April and in the first few days we lived almost next door to a Donki store. It was heaven! I bought a few Donki t-shirts....I got pointed at & Comments so often as we went around Japan. I'm coming back next March and Donki is at the top of my list to go to. They are the greatest store on the planet!!

The larger Donki's has a great and very cheap food selection. Like onigiris, breads, cakes, salads, drinks, yoghurts etc. Much cheaper than in the konbinis.

Hi Yuki! Thank for this very helpful video - you officially have a new subscriber :) I especially appreciated how you pointed out the products that are only available in Japan and at Donki. If I'm not mistaken, the collaborative T-shirts and some of the socks with anime characters are exclusive to Donki, yes? It would be great if you could keep pointing such details out. They are super helpful to those who have not yet had the chance to visit Japan.

It took me almost until the end of the video before I figured out "Donki" was a nickname for Don Quijoti! I'm very happy you didn't use background music on the video. I had no idea the store was so big. Thank you for the tour! We will check it out when we visit in November. Thank you also for the discount coupon link.

I almost forgot to ask. Would you recommend tourists to buy souvenirs like magnets and KitKats from Donki? Are they cheaper or more expensive there compared to, say, supermarkets?

The only thing that makes me wonder about the packaged supermarket goods is whether they have harmful ingredients like palm oil in them. Are such ingredients commonly found in edibles available in Japanese stores? I always try to avoid them in my home country, but since I do not know any Japanese, I'm a bit worried that I might pick up something that is heavily processed without knowing😥

Hi. Thanks for a great video! I want to ask.. Does this shop have Studio Ghibli, Sailor Moon, InuYasha items? If not, what stores would you recommend for these items?

I went shopping in Donki with tax free, meaning the bag was sealed. When I got back home and open the bag, I realized that they charged me with something I didn’t buy. -I translated the receipt in English with google translate. Japanese are not so honest people. They do this to foreigners since we can’t speak nor read Japanese.
