I totally disagree with the lady that says abroad kills dreams. It depends on the age you relocated. If you already had a thriving career in Nigeria and you relocate abroad, it will be difficult for you to breakthrough. Likewise those people who relocated back home did not have thriving here abroad.

Daddy Freeze, pls leave those who have japaed alone. Comparing Naija and the Western world is like comparing night and day. However, anyone who prefers Naija, goodluck to them. Naija is sweet. To those who prefer abroad, leave them.

Guys look at this from a different angle. DF is a content creator and this "Japa" topic is one that will continue to trend for some time so, from a business point of view, it's an easy one for him to keep highlighting. This increases viewership from Nigerians in the diaspora and benefits his channel.

I’m 57 and have lived in the USA for 30years. I don’t have any regret! Death is inevitable and is everywhere. Comparing healthcare in the West to Nigeria is insane. If you don’t have insurance or adequate insurance then that’s when you start getting in line in USA. In Canada and UK, the healthcare system is social so you gotta wait. A doctor cannot refuse to tell you what is wrong with you in the USA as ultimately the decision to take care of yourself is yours. People need to tell the truth. 12million Naira as rent for two years in Nigeria is approximately $9000.00 which is probably one or two months mortgage for some in the USA and less than 7months rent in an apt in an average suburbia. A place where there is no security, no power, no basic infrastructure.

There's almost no waitlist in the US. The only cause of delay is the doctor trying to be sure which can be very annoying. You can decide to go elsewhere and seek a 2nd opinion.

I will lend my opinion once more: Professional courses in the USA, UK and Canada have regulatory bodies so you must fulfill the requirements before practicing. Nursing, Medical Doctors, architects, lawyers etc - you must pass the series of board exams. Stop looking down on nursing. When they tell you they are nurses, please ask what type as there are categories of Nursing. There are CNAs, LVN/LPN, RN, APRN, DNP. Ruth Kadiri Cannot survive in the USA so she is better off in Nigeria. There’s a Nigerian top movie star that relocated to USA but she is yet to break in. Why did she leave? The flood is abroad but better managed. Houston had flood in 2017 but the flood gates were opened to prevent extensive damage. Insurance rebuilt flooded homes, Govt provided resources to alleviate the suffering including basic provision of tetanus to all who waded through the filthy water. Who is providing these in Nigeria. You do not overstay your visa if you want to keep entering these nations. There are rules and that’s why these societies function.

@@onyiititus3277 nurses have different roles and responsibilities: CNA (certified Nursing Assistant)- carry out non medical procedures, take vital signs and very limited decision making ability; LVN/LPN(Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse)- Have basic nursing training that allows them execute some clinical procedures and make some clinical decision about patient care; RN (Registered Nurse)- given an advanced nursing training that includes conducting comprehensive physical exams and developing plan of care with physicians ; APRNs (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse commonly known as Nurse Practitioner)- have more than a bachelors degree in nursing. Some have Masters while others have Doctorate be it DNP or PHD. They have prescriptive authority and work side by side with physicians. We have to be honest to our people so they can be judicious with their decisions. .
