Yesssssssss 🙌🏻
Thud is based around a game called tafl. Tafl games are a family of ancient Nordic and Celtic strategy board games played on a checkered or latticed gameboard with two armies of uneven numbers. Most probably they are based upon the Roman game Ludus latrunculorum. Wikipedia
Congratulations on your baby!

Thank you!!
Great vid as usual. Where do you get your ideas for what to read? I know that you mentioned Oprah and a book club but is there anywhere else? Also if you start the dead series, Mort is amazing. I read it recently and thought it was great.

Ahh yes I loved Mort! Death trying out new careers was hilarious 🤣 I think that one and Hogfather are the only 2 Death novels I have read so far. He's one of my favourite characters so it will be so fun spending more time with him! There was a part that I loved in Thud! where Vimes is having one of his many "near Death experiences" where Death shows up and is just casually reading a book in a folding chair. Vimes is all "Am I dead? Why are you here?" and Death is like "You are having a near Death experience, which mean I have to have a near Vimes experience, so don't mind me." I paraphrased heavily there lol but it was so good. As for choosing what I read, I have a TBR list that I cant even see the end of at this point lol. What I choose to read is usually a mixture of what is readily available to me, like when my Libby holds come through, or when I have preordered a book and then it shows up in the mail like a surprise gift from past me lol. I am a total mood reader as well so whatever jumps out at me at the time is usually what wins. I also just really enjoy researching books lol, cuz I am a bit of a nerd like that, so I will randomly come across books that I suddenly have to read.
