I absolutely love your video. Straight to the point. No life story. Just talking about what you need to talk about. No messing around with you lady. Thank you so much. I just brought one of these machines and I’ve only ever used the machines from 40 years ago. This was extremly useful. Thank you so much.

Good clear explanation for anyone interested in a CoverPro. I have a 2000CPX and not upgrading as I also own a 1200D (which has top coverstitch), but this new model would be perfect in any sewing room. Thanks for the video.

Your explanation is very clear and concise. It was difficult following the camera, though….too jerky in some areas. Please focus on the fabric or machine more than the person speaking. Otherwise, this is a very good tutorial!

I haven't done much with knits, but want to sew jeans. I've heard that the previous Janome CS machines aren't great for heavy fabric. What are your experiences with the 3000 and multiple layers of denim?

Diane, I was able do a coverstitch on 4 layers of denim with no problem. If you let me know what application you want to do I will test it.

@@SuperStitchSewing no .. not quite .. seraflock thread is a quite elastic thread often used in topcover stitch .. maybe you call the thread seraflex instead It gives the stitch volume and such a nice stitch using this thread I need to know where I thread this seraflex .. maybe in the 4 place fir the topcover stitch .. will give it a try

Meanwhile I am not so satisfied with my machine. I think that this self-trading function is no more than gimmick, because it's a very easy to thread needles without this addition too. But I found that is very "tricky" the ending of triple cover stitching. it's really hard to get the threads out and the threads are wrapping around the looper. System of needles threading does not seem like a good technical solution , because the threads are constantly shifting from thread guide plate and prongs. I don't know what about another coverlock machines - whether the threading system in them is also so unstable and complicated.

I'm sorry to hear you are not satisfied. I personally love the needle threader and have not had any problems. Maybe your dealer can help.

I agree that the threads keep shifting out of the thread guides especially the right needle. Regarding getting the threads off the lower looper, my dealer showed to turn the stitch/fly wheel a full revolution BACKWARDS, lift presser foot, pull threads forward and cut threads from underneath the presser foot. It works but be aware of stitches undoing. My bug bear was that the thread comes out of the top cover stitch thread guide attached to the needle clamps so I put the transparent silicone ring off the new Tweezers supplied, between the 2 tiny guides and put the thread through the top, the ring, then the bottom guide. DON’T do this suggestion unless you feel confident you won’t mess up your machine but for mine, Job done. Really works without causing any issues with tension. I need a practical solution for thread jumping out of the lowest Top Cover thread guide and R needle thread guides so come on Janome, sort it out. Life is too short to be constantly rethreading and undoing stitching ESPECIALLY at this price!

too fast for a newbie. camera is out of focus and to high or to low to see what is happening. You need to gear this to a BEGINNER!

Great video, thank you. But the constant swaying and panning around by the camera person was as annoying as hell. Please don’t!
