I first heard Janis as a little kid. I loved that voice. As I grew and she passed away. She became my favorite female blues singer, with Horton, billy holiday, love you Janis 😢

I enjoyed listening to Janis joplin over the years her voice, style of singing so unique no one can quite come close enough to be mistaken for her. Port Author Texas, blessed to be able to say Janis joplin was from here. Her songs 🎵 have lifted my spirits many times. ,R.I.P. JANIS

In 60's/70's my friends got sick of my obsession with Janis. Still love this, just don't try to push it now.

Listening to this song is like hearing fire speak. It's a shame she died so young, her voice and her songs are one of a kind.

god she makes me feel so much less alone. sends shivers down my spine everytime.

I believe this song shows the depth of her musical abilities although Kosmic Blues never became a hit except to those of us that knew all of her songs were one of a kind, and all were excellent.

I feel so fucking cheated that I was only 5 yrs old when she died. I'd have given anything to see her live just once. I've watched taped footage of some shows but from what I'm told, being there was like a religious experience. When I get to heaven, after my Grandma, she's one of the first I'm looking for.

Alex OBrien saw her at the Hollywood bowl. She refused to sing longer than 30 minutes and had a stop watch instructing the band to stop.
