    The mix is sick and the love I have for JANET and her music and dance just brings me to tears. This video brought back memories of all the Janet tours I experienced and pray we get another dose from her in 2017 on tour again!

    Fantastically wavy tribute to Janet, covered all the hits with really great transitions. The smoothest choreo. And do I spot Haley Fitzgerald? One can spot that red hair and that fluid musicality anywhere.

    Was Janet There to see the tribute?

  • @ErnestSewell
    @ErnestSewell6 жыл бұрын

    A couple of notes: Half of it was people walking on or off the stage. That creates a lot of downtime and nothing going on. I think "Control" was the most awkward. It stammered along, and could have been a bigger all-dancer section. "Miss You Much" was good, but the segue into "If" really took the energy out of the song. I do like the mellow mix of "If" that was used, but it was cut way too short. It should have come in sooner. Not sure what "Throb" was all about. It was there, then it was gone. It felt like half of a thought. Another example is the end of "Burn It Up" - for a couple of measures everyone is just sorta standing there until the song ends. You gotta pull something up from the souls of your shoes to put in spots like that to keep it exciting and engaging. I noticed the dancers are constantly walking and strutting to get into a new position, or just posing. DANCE for F's sake! In general, it literally needed more choreography. It felt like a Lite version, when a Janet tribute should be full on PHAT and meaty. All that critique aside, it was a fun tribute. (Not sure why BAD was in there a lot, yet they didn't even use "Scream" or anything MJ - that I heard. And who's mug was up at the end? Was that supposed to be Janet in male drag or something? Who is that guy and why is he there?)

    There is nor will there ever will be a "successor" to Ms. Janet Jackson. She is an icon, legend and worldwide celebrity forever, ever! Ms. Jackson slays and though I love Aaliyah and wish she were here let's keep honoring our legends and icons, some who are gone way too soon as well as those still with us. The same can be said of Madonna, Aretha, Smokey Robinson, the Rolling Stones, Dolly, Temptations, M. Jackson George Michael, Whitney, Billie Holiday, Prince and so many other icons and legends ♥️
