She began to sing this song on her concerts as a tribute to her brother MJ after he passed away

Yes you are correct. She did it following Scream with MJ on the big screen for us in Hawaii 2015. She was here in concert again last year. ❤
This is actually her most successful single worldwide. The visuals are everything. Now we gotta do "What Have You Done For Me Lately" next.

@@JackReacts904 Wikipedia exists and has information on these iconic artists and their songs and albums.
Keep in mind that Red haired Janet was during the Velvet Rope Era. That’s around 98’-00’s.
It's so sad how this woman's career was ruined by 1 incident! The fact that this song doesn't have hundreds of millions of views is beyond me. The Velvet Rope (1997, this song is also on this album) is a gift to this world and should be honored as such. Just my humble opinion...

@@mrblank1195 Well, all I know is that her videos after this event were banned from some stations, her new music wasn't promoted like The Velvet Rope and the sales were disappointing. I love Made For Now with Daddy Yankee. Beautiful video too. Hope it gets some shine on this channel.

Libra Lover I understand but as an huge Janet can I can tell you her career was not ruined. She’s has SEVERAL sold out tours. And several albums after that that did well. That “ ban you speak of was short lived during the damita jo era. Although the album still sold well and was Grammy nominated. Every artist has peaks and valleys doesn’t mean he career is ruined. Check pollstar for tour revenue her “ metamorphosis” residency in Vegas made more than some shows that have been there for years.

Her career wasn't ruined, it was side tracked for a little bit after nipplegate it took a while but she rebounded since the DAMITAJO era, albums after that did well and she still had the backing of her millions of fans, she is still considered one of the most successful female artist of all times, and one of the things janet has always wanted to do was to join her brothers in the rock and roll hall of fame and with the help of her fans accomplished that also... and in her own words told her brothers....YOUR BABY SISTER HAS ARRIVED. it's a very big thing to be inducted into the rock and roll hall of fame., you can't keep a good woman down.

@@mrblank1195 MR. BLANK Thank you for that info. I'm glad she bounced back cause she's a force and deserves all the accolades she gets. Perhaps it's because I don't live in the States and don't get to see/hear everything she still doing. I hope she'll tour in Europe when this quarantine is all over.
U summed up Janet's voice perfectly. Very underrated because she sounds great and does a lot with that voice.
This has always been my favourite Janet song. 💕
This was a song about someone close to her dying and thinking about seeing them again one day. I know you love 80’s, Janet Jackson-“Miss you Much” is one of her more popular songs from the 80’s along with rhythm nation and escapade.
It’s from The Velvet Rope album which came out in 1997. Janet also recorded different versions of the song; a “Deep” remix and a “Deeper” remix. One is a ballad version and the other more R&B/hip-hop influenced. You should check them out.

Yeah i heard the remixes they are amazing
This was personal to her because it was about her friend who died of aids & at first she wanted it to be a ballad, that’s why it’s slow in the beginning, but ended up changing it to an uptempo in order to give an optimistic feeling of we’ll be together again.
Yes! Love the respect you give this Queen. #JusticeforJanet
There is no video for the song but the song ENJOY is a beautifully written song . One of my favorite songs by her. Great message as usual from the Queen Janet
The 1997 single “Together Again” was so successful that when it was released from the Velvet Rope album it was released with several other remixes. There’s the “Deeper Remix” which is a slowed down, sensual, jazz influenced version of the song and it has a great video to go along with it. Then there’s my personal favorite version which is the “DJ Premiere Remix” which has a more hip-hop flavor added in with a totally different rhythm. She performs the latter at the American Music Awards in 1998. I think it’s her most successful single ever, don’t quote me on that😂 But this song is in fact from The Velvet Rope album which came out in 1997. Fun Fact: The giraffes that were used in the video belonged to her brother Michael and the youngest one wondered off into wilderness and everyone was getting nervous because it was getting late and the mountain lions were gonna coming out. He eventually turned up though and he was fine.
It is from the Velvet Rope. She wrote this about friends of hers who died of AIDS but it’s upbeat because she wanted to celebrate them. In her more recent performances of this song, she dedicates it to Michael. You should check out the video she did for the “Deeper” remix of this song and her live performance on the AMAs features another dope remix.
The video is her vision of her Heaven when her time comes. The people represent all her friends who've passed who are now all together that she'll meet again. And her home in Heaven is represented by the Mother Land, Africa. And all animals are not enemies as they can be here on Earth. Everyone is happy, Together Again.

Janet's voice is HEAVENLY!😊
This was from The Velvet Rope album which was released in 97. It was not filmed in Africa. I believe it was filmed in California. Allegedly some of the animals in the video were her brother Michael's pets from his private zoo.

@@JackReacts904 There are 2 notable remixes to "Together Again". Both have a different sound than this original version of the song. The "Together Again" (Deeper Remix) is more of an R&B song. "Together Again" (DJ Premier Remix) is more like an R&B song over a Hip-Hop beat. Both are great remixes that you could react to. "Together Again" (Deeper Remix) has its own music video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pJmXxLexj9yoZMo.html "Together Again" (DJ Premier Remix) which was performed live at the 1998 American Music Awards: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p6amqrepe9jIqcY.html
Janet is a comfort singer, she has a small pretty voice & much like Kylie Minogue as an example. Is technically great, they stay within their range & do it perfectly. Which is better than a singer that has a more impressive voice but poor technique
This song from Janet was my introduction to her by my teacher. Years later I saw her live on 420 in San Francisco where I snuck to the front row and she waved to me during this song. I'll never forget. Great reaction. React to Strawberry Bounce by her. 🌻💜
This my song Jack good job!
Follow this up with “Runaway” same vibe, feel and visuals.
She’s so beautiful. And thank you for acknowledging her sweet voice! Can you do “Alright?” and “Control” for your next Janet reactions?
Please do Janet Jackson "All Nite (Don’t Stop).
Great reaction! Fun facts: This song was inspired & written for her gay friends that passed away from AIDS. She borrowed some of the exotic animals in the video from her brother Michael. Also, the choreography was done by her then longtime friend & main choreography during Janet's prime, Tina Landon (girl with short blond hair in video)
This is from the velvet rope album there is another version to this song its called the deep remix you should react to that one as well and can you react to what have you done for me lately and nasty
Even though it is so 90s in every way possible it has aged surprisingly well, which goes to show how underrated she is as a songwriter
Aye Jack, even if you dont react to this piece, just catch the video. Its, "Centipede" by Rebbie Jackson. Interestingly enough, Micheal wrote, produced, and sang background (with the Weather Girls). We're going wayyy back.
THANK YOU FOR DOING JANET JACKSON. I AM JAN FAM ( her fan name). I appreciate you taking the time to review her catalog. She is icon. Please keep doing what you do.
This song hit number one on the billboard hot 100 charts in 1997 she had wrote it for a friend who passed away from aids as well for aids victims and their families which is beautiful.
Check out "Someone to call my lover"💓 another Janet hit
Yes this is the Velvet Rope album. It was late 90s early 2000s. Early 90s was Rhythm Nation.
My favorite Janet's song❣️❣️❣️
so glad this classic was rearranged as a dance track, it's incredible
Probably the greatest pop song of all-time. She wrote this song, dedicated to her friends that died from HIV/ AIDS. Go Janet!
I love how she performed this at the end of the all for you concert
Janet Jackson's. The Knowledge #next
Janet's music stays so relevant because its authentic. These lyrics will always have meaning for so many in so many ways. Rhythm Nation from '89 is still relevant today. Her songs aren't just for the moment. For a change you should react to Son Of A Gun by her feat. Missy. Its a darker Janet. Her body in the video looks amazing!
This was from velvet rope. It was a tribute to friends she lost to AIDS
You are going to love ALRIGHT, or MADE FOR NOW...another sexy track is FEEDBACK
Her hair actually inspired the weeknd hair around cant feel my face era. Yes it was shot in Africa
This is my most absolute favorite Janet song...whenever I hear it ..I feel like dancing and crying at the same time..the memories ✌
React to Mary J. Blige/All That I can Say. Song is smooth & the video! Oh the video is DEFINITELY ethereal. Check it out. I'm sure you'll love it👌🏾👌🏾 ..

The song for this video was her tribute to all of her friends that died from AIDS, specifically a love letter to the gay community.
Now I imagine she’s singing this to her brother and I definitely tear up!
Yes this was from “The Velvet Rope” album
This is such a personal song for me. I lost my grandma a year after this song originally came out and it always reminds me of her and warm, sunny days ☀️
The incomparable Tina Landon was Janet's choreographer for along time. The best!
Janet had so many dope songs and videos.( come back to me, lates wait awhile).
"Together Again" is the second single from The Velvet Rope (1997).
Hello i love your Reaction too too Janet Jackson together again this is my favourite 90s Song off all time😊😊
"Made for Now" is a very happy, feel good song by Janet w/Daddy Yankee. Please react to it! You said you like visuals...this song has that...and also "Runaway" from 1995.
One of my top 5 songs from her. She’s such a positive spirit.

You need to do Janet Jackson "EVERY TIME" please please.. you will love her voice in this. So raw...
I have loved Janet since the Control Album, but when she released The Velvet Rope CD she blew me away. Not only did she release one of her best, most iconic songs as a tribute to the friends she had that had died from HIV/AIDS, she had another song on that album called Free Xone, where she sang, "Boy meets boy, boy loses boy, boy gets cute boy back. Girl meets girl, girl loses girl, girl gets cute girl back. One rule: no rules. One love, Freexone." AND she did a cover of Tonight's The Night without changing the pronouns, singing "'Cause I love you girl" repeatedly. I know many, many people say it, but yes, it still bothers me that her career was derailed because of a ridiculous controversy. I think Justin Timberlake is a talented artist/actor, but I've never been a huge fan of his after he literally hung her out to dry. White guy doesn't suffer at all, black woman sees her entire career come to an immediate halt. Janet is one of the most successful artists of all time, and yet she's also one of the most underrated. What a strange world we live in.
Jack I feel like you not hearing me but ..🗣PLEASE DO “Janet Jackson- Someone to call my Lover”
Check out the performance from the 98 American Music Awards. It's a remix of this song. The remix is 🔥 🔥 and the choreo is beautiful!
Runaway would be another song with a video you will love and also escapade and alright (the last tow are from the 80s)
It was filmed in Africa, this along "Got til it gone", during her trip after making "The Velvet Rope".
Awesome reaction as usual! 90’s music was an amazing era for R&B artist. Please if you can, react to Total - ‘Can’t you see’ ‘Kissin you’ ‘What about us’ ‘Trippin’ to name a few of their songs lol Such a cool female group back In that era, they were also featured artists too especially on Mase’s hit song ‘What you want’
Definitely filmed in Africa. Janet wrote the Velvet Rope while in Africa when she took some time away to deal with some very personal things in her life. In your off time, you should listen to The Velvet Rope. There are some deep and beautiful messages and emotions on that album. The Velvet Rope was 1997. You reacted to Go Deep, Got Til Its Gone, and I Get Lonely. All from this same album.
This is my favorite Janet song
One Sweet Day (Mariah) & Together Again (Janet) were the smash hit songs commemorating those lost to AIDS. Even Madonna wrote In This Life for her Erotica album.
yeah janet is fire, i remember being little watching this movie that had 'alright', rhythm nation, and 'miss you much'. i dont remember what else but i remember those 3. 'alright' is my shit too, with the zoot suits and the cab calloway theme, fire. oh if you are going to look for 'alright' (which is one of the best dance routines ever) you shoud try to find the full or "extended" version. it has a sick ass chair routine at the end that got cut for some dumbass reason.
This is my fav Janet song! It's so fun and funky! Great reaction again!
Another great song by Janet, takes me down memory lane 🥰
I love love love your Janet reviews ... I hope u do all nite next time
Control was 1986, Rhythm Nation was 1989, janet. was 1993, The Velvet Rope was 1997, and All For You was 2001. *Fun Fact: Control was the first ever new jack swing album
I subscribed because you do the best Janet Jackson reaction videos. Please do her video “Rock With U”. The layering the do on that song is crazy and the video was way ahead of its time as most of her other videos. It is def a fan favorite.
Yes this is from The Velvet Rope album in 1997. It is an upbeat song. But it is a song she wrote about friends she lost to AIDS. There is also a slower version of this song which is also very good. It’s the deeper remix
The blonde dancer, Tina, was her choreographer for a long time.
That's that Tina Landon choreography!!!
When Michael passed she dedicated this song to him in her tour.
React to Aaliyah “Giving up” Whitney Houston had her sing this to show her VASTLY underrated vocal talent!
This was actually written as and was intended to be a ballad. Like others have mentioned check out the the 'deeper' remixes.
Hi Jack!! You're so funny & cute when you talk about you're lack of dancing skills! Lol, I can't dance either. Can you please react to Janet's "It's Alright" feat. Heavy D. Thanks. 😍👍
Glad you are part of the Janet Fan club 💪🏽...I would definitely like to know if you can review 1) Janet Jackson Runaway ( Jimmy Fallon performance) 2) Janet Jackson Twenty Foreplay 3) Janet Jackson Made for Now I also hope you get more subscribers- it's a great channel 👍🏽
Theres a slower r&b hip hop version of this that sounds like a completely different song which she performed at the AMA " DJ premier remix" . Also speaking of vocals, please react to Again live from the velvet rope tour. That song was nominated for an Oscar
Janet is an entertainer 1st
Twenty Foreplay, please. It’s one of Janet’s smoothest jams.
The Velvet Rope era (97-98) is quite distinctive because of her image at the time. Fiery red hair. This is the fourth track you have done from this period. There is a Deeper remix of this song which is a slowed down version that almost soundsike a different track altogether. There's one other video from this album, Every Time, where she's back to being a brunette.
