This is Excellent! I was shooting there also-stills. Got some amazing images of Janet and of Janelle earlier when the sun was still up. The pyroTs that The Weekend did was a treat. Did you get stampeaded too? I ran in the sound with those guys who didnt budge

Why did you sensor What About ? I mean were all grown heer. Even people in their young teens were here-who can uaually tell you more about things you THOUGHT you knew and heard. It just disrupts the songs flow and in this case the message she's conveying here about being abused physically and self esteem wise by another human. I have a show I tapped of Bowie and in a song theres a word taken out and everytime I hear the Real recording of it, my pyche expects the dub-out if it at that point and the word was Wanking-which has No meaning to Ameicans in the least LoL. I have to look and see if I see myself in here shooting, since I was so close to the stage. Just listening to the audio now editing a bunch of images. This is such a marvelous piece you did....carry on

It’s because of the creative direction. You need the wow factor. In the 90’s, “I get Lonely,” “Together Again,” “If...” no matter who was watching, no matter their taste in music, all their jaws would drop 😮 Plus think of her dancers in the past, you couldn’t take your eyes of them-Tina Landon, Shawnette Heard, Kelly Konno, etc.

Not the audience acting they’re not witnessing an icon, a legend, a top tier performer

This crowd should be more live they should be honored to have a artist like Janet Jackson a damn legend giving them a show If I was there I be the only one getting my life they all would think something wrong with me.

they were probably so nervous from the gun/bomb sounds and stampede that ensued. I had to run n2 the sound tent since the crowd came right toward us and crashed the photo deck we were stationed on since it was right behind the audience. The show went on w/no probs after a slight delay.

You pay attention when the Queen is performing that's all

Janet was literally bawling her eyes out onstage while singing “What About.” I wish I could hug her. Also, that speech she gave was so powerful.

I think the reason why the crowd was so boring was because moments before she performed there was a gun scare and thousands of people ran in a panic causing a stampede, then they let everyone back in when it was found it was just a gate falling. And I've gone to GCF twice, not this one, but they probably turned down the crowd's mic after that happened and it looks crowded lol.

​@@alessaschmitz5847 LoL This was way b4 Miss Rona came on the scene + they (we) went through an unplanned bomb/gun shooting SOUND scare and a stampede when a barricade slammed on the ground. It sounded like the shot of a gun then hordes of ppl started to run From it and when they stepped on all the empty and capped plastic water bottles that were all over the ground,( it was hot that day) they popped and sounded like gun shots and with every pop, it galvanized and intensified the momentum of the audience's stampede ..so maybe ppl where on the tense and not so animated side that night.

Enjoyed this, Janet has really scaled down here dance as of recently compared to her previous shows but I’m still loving that confidence, show-woman-ship, the songs, she still got it goin on!!❤❤

She's absolutely stunning here. I met her in person on a dance floor at an underground club on a random night. Early 2000s. We danced and had a quick chat. I introduced myself and we shook hands. Jeans, t-shirt, ball cap, light makeup if any, and she was gorgeous. And gracious. Sup Ms Jackson.

They (we) were traumatized just 20 minutes b4 this segment went on. Had to hop behind and in the sound tent from being Trampled Underfoot-(amazing song btw) by the wave of freaked out ppl running for, what they thought were, their lives after a billboard barricade slammed on the ground and popped like a gun. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mKif0LRql8mfodo.html

I had such a good night! The shooting scare prior did have us rattled, the crowd in this video is not as loud as it was at the actual show, the audio purposely drowns out the audience and vocals on the mic feed, like it does at most festivals. Everyone was paying attention and tons of Janet fans were there together in groups, especially up front. It was such a memorable night. And Janet blew a kiss, pointed at me and threw a heart for me at 26:44.

The crowd AINT dead as everyone thinks. If you I listen you can hear them. For TV broadcasts they usually run an overdub...so what the TV audience hears is different than the live audience to clean up the mic feed/acoustics...things of that nature. I can hear the crowd even through the overdub

When she cried singing “What about that” I couldn’t take it. I love u Janet..

Even though her voice is as soft and quiet as ever, at least she's finally singing LIVE again. I don't even hear a backing track, which I somewhat wish she did to add a little volume to her voice. But to not have a backing track, she did good. Very rare for dance artists not to use tracks these days.

This is such a pro show. You see the rehearsal work here in tight form Awwh Here come Q and his cute self. That was a dope surprise. Janet sound So Much like Mike sometimes specly in TTWLGs That's the way her love for him glows. -Not corney. Authentic sentement is expressed w/o any thought of scrutiny.

But its weird to switch emotions like that when you thought we were being shot at like the crowd in las Vegas before.

For those of you commenting that the crowd is dead, keep in mind there was a bomb/shooting scare literally right before Janet was supposed to come. The crowd had to run out of the venue and people nearly got trampled. Janet's show was nearly canceled. They had to slowly file people back and calm them down. At that point, everyone was shaken up and a lot of people had simply left out of fear. So, she's basically performing to a shell shocked audience.

I love Janet. But I'm not feeling some of the new choreography. Greatest female entertainer of all time. Janet Forever ❤

this crowd is really terrible

I love her and the music sounds hot but Janet seems detached from the audience, somehow. It's as if she's behind plexi glass, or something and the dancing seems a distraction. The Weeknd came on afterward, I think, and cut his set short but the same audience was lit on fire and bounced and sang along with every word. Still, I can hear the audience singing along here to the more iconic Janet songs.

She is singing LIVE... What more do you all want? As far as the crowd, you can hear them. Their sound is being muted. We are hearing a direct feed from the soundboard, which always contains overdubs. So what the crowd is hearing is different than what we are hearing...they hear live with overdubs. We get the direct feed. Usually its the opposite, so Thats why it sounds somewhat bare.
