Actually her hair was originally jet black but she fell in a vat of custard as a child, turning her hair blond. As she grew older her family moved to a blatant orange grove, and the sunlight reflects off the fruit giving Janet's hair a look ginger glow. :-p

Simply brilliant. You are prettier than the girls in the magazines, you can change the colour of your hair, and make any other changes you like. You should rest when you need to. Take as long a break as you want. Your true fans will understand and stay loyal. We will still like and shear, tweet and re-tweet. Your fans will always be here for you. This clip is so much fun to watch. Janet, you are an absolute joyful noise in a world gone mad. Thank you for sharing so much of your journey with your followers. There is something so eclectic and informed in your voice when you sing. You have magical tones sparkling between child-like wonder and a soulful heart that has lived for a thousand years, rich with stories and secrets. I grew up in the 80's so can remember a time before the Generic Musical Industrial Complex was all auto-tuned algorithms image over talent, sex tapes to launch a single... I cling to my female voices of defiance, song-writers, singers, story-tellers. Standing in their own foundations and shining bright with treasures that can't be so easily tarnished and sold short. Absolute respect and love to you, Janet Devlin, I hold you right up there with other accomplished and driven female voices/singer songwriters of our time, including Christine McVie, Tracy Chapman, Sinead O'Conner, Aimee Mann, Alison Moyet ...
