Profound and relatable. She took a chance after being given a flyer, showed up when Chris Rock called, and had the foresight to join Abbot’s cast. She positions herself for great opportunities, and shows up prepared when they arrive.

@Latrese Milton - Your comment is spot-on! I just stumbled on this show and while many of the characters are endearing, it can get a little hokey at times. HOWEVER, Janelle James manages to save the show every single time! I live for her appearance in it lol.

I hope she doesn't become too competent or caring though. She does such a great job at being awful at her job but still likable.

She’s from the US Virgin Islands. That’s some of the slight accent.

The episode where James took over the step show and mysteriously disappeared because of her grandmother humanized her.

I’m so proud of her success! & that red dress is stunning on her 😍

She is soooo funny in Abbott Elementary!! I hated her in the first 2 episodes being the antagonist then I understood her humor and now I can’t get enough of her! She made me belly laugh in some eps, love her!!

I really love this lady. She is just so down to earth and real. As others have said I love her dress and her laugh and it was so great she really dressed up in in that beautiful dress and yes she is foxy as they say.. I have seen the show a few times. But def will watch it more
