I love the fact that Jane Fonda changed the talk back to something more substantial and meaningful, not shallow and ignorant. Sadly these two amazing people wasted their time with Megyn Kelly. What a difference between generations… substance vs shallow. How i miss that older generation.

I watched Our Souls at Night twice in one day…and cried through it each time. A wonderful movie I would highly recommend.

How gorgeous does Jane look for nearly 80 wow and Robert has aged with complete dignity.

Two people, two great actors talking with so much tenderness about each other! It looks so cool! They are just the example of the way we should be in our 80s! Thank you for movies, for your great art!

Redford has class. He's still gorgeous.

I would NEVER watch Ms. Kelly after seeing this clip. Here she has two legends and could ask them anything. Instead woman to woman she goes for Jane Fonda and plastic surgery. So rude and unprofessional. But the legend Jane Fonda got her together real quick!

She didn't go after anyone. She asked a question based on comments the guest had made herself. I don't see the problem here.

Man Jane Fonda is SHARP. She is younger than most people I know- her energy, intellect, curiosity...she is YOUNG.

Jane and Robert came to promote their new movie and Megyn consistently tried to take the conversation to any other topic besides the movie. Strange way to do a movie-promo interview. I can see why Jane was annoyed. And Megyn still didn't take a hint. She's got a big learning curve on how to do this kind of show.

She is 80. Many people inspired from her at her age. There is nothing wrong they way kelly asked about it. Jane should be spontaneous when you accept guestings like this. Obviously she doesnt want to talk about her age but come on! this is the highlight of her career at 80 still doing movies. She should be accommodating in that area and expect that it will be asked at all times.

Omg that question to Jane Fonda was so inappropriate and ill timed! Horrible horrible horrible! Megan is so bad at this job it's startling.

I saw this movie, I'm seventy three years old and I loved it, really well done two great actors, Robert and Jane

Almost every question had to do with age. WTF!? When the interviewees keep having to save the interview, you know that something's JUST NOT RIGHT. Redford's right about Jane, she's amazing.

Jane was there with Robert to talk about a movie not about herself

Only experience can get such an elegant transition from an obnoxious question to back on topic.

So, here she has two living legends from film and television; so what does Megyn Kelly focus on? AGE! Throughout the whole segment, rather than focusing on their film project, she keeps asking them both about age and plastic surgery. Sorry Megyn, but interviewing is not your forte either. What an awkward interview.

Megan Kelly is terrible at this gig!!! She is uncomfortable & makes her guests uncomfortable!!!

Jane Fonda got more class, brains and beauty today and always, than that intervier Megyn Kelly has. The way Jane Fonda handled that interview was amazing considering it was a full on nasty cut-throat remark by Megyn Kelly. I'm with Jane Fonda all the way, and Robert Redford. Just amazing talented people.

I thought they went through the question list before the interview. I cant believe such an awkward situation would be allowed to happened on live TV, where guests refuse to answer questions from the host.

Megyn is forced and beating to her own drum at the expense of Fonda here. And also, why didn´t you ask Redford about his facelifts? Probably had as many as Jane has. Be a little self-critical about how you reproduce old stereotypes of women by the questions you ask. Not cool, sorry.

Watch jane fonda at 0:31 how fast and agile is her hand movements , plastic surgery can't give you that agility of young age to a 80 year old person , so her looking young is mostly because of her genes

This woman has exercises video since 80s , she was always a heathy person, she is vegetarian, does not smoke, drinks just a little bit, and once upon a time for decades was considered one of the most beaurifull woman in the world right after sophia Loren .... I just watched "Barefoot in the Park" on Netflix (from 1967 I believe) last night with Redford & Fonda..good movie! And my goodness.. Redford was gorgeous back in the day!! He's still a very handsome man...I love his movies and theirs together!!! (Redford & Fonda..Their newest film is wonderful!!) Fonda also looks great for her age! Of course, unless you were blessed with great genes..it takes money to stay looking young..especially when you get in your 60s & 70s..but hey, if ya got it, spend it..every woman should/would!!

Jane looks very good indeed. Her plastic surgery is not fake looking and over the top. I don't think that any woman likes to be asked publicly about any work done if she's had it, esp. in front of a man and a man who is your colleague and was once a heart throb. May have been purposeful or simply just a mistake on MK part. Jane Fonda looked very angry and floored while Megyn was asking the ?. Couldn't believe it.

That's Robert Redford? Before I heard him speak, I thought he was Elton John!

Old culture meets new culture. Women should be proud no matter what they have had done. Megyn missed the fact that this question is NOT awkward for someone born in the 1960s or 1980s but is awkward for someone born in the 1940s!

This is the sole reason why Marlon Brando did not do many Interviews ...Reporters always go for the Negative questions...pointless.

I agree with another commenter, that Megan Kelly appears "ageist", but probably unintentionally.. I thought her interview flowed well, and that Kelly seemed genuine (i.e. w/o agenda)...... BUT, it seemed her focus WAS on the past, and worse: making references as to HOW LONG AGO that was! That I agree was lazy journalism. Mighty blatant, and in the end, I saw both interviewees looking uncomfortable. Btw, I'm not politically biased-- but maybe a lil journalistically so;-)

Thank goodness the Pros steered the interview in the best direction. Sorry Megan wring venue for you.
